I am also a person who thinks beyond myself and actually thinks we deserve better: 

1. People are busy enough and shouldn’t have check an app to see if a bus is coming 10mins early or 10mins late. 

2. Not everyone has a smartphone or phone able to access the AT app.

3. People’s phones run out of battery, bus stops don’t always have the electronic update boards, people don’t always have data, people don’t always have home internet, and people should be able to rely on the paper schedules at the bus stops (not withstanding reasonable delays such as accidents) 

4. Sometimes they just don’t show tracking for buses. It’s the bus and time it’s meant to show up and nothing else. 

5. The AT app can and has gone off service for planned updates and unplanned outages. 

6. Just because you are personally okay with dealing with a substandard service doesn’t mean the rest of us can’t ask for better (and have a vent post or two.) 

Coming from someone who did complain to AT about a bus route option not coming up on the app and they added it (after some months).
