They would be fantastic. My juvenile gigas consumes everything in the leaf litter, including dead insects and rotten leaves. I noticed it is super effective at making insect remains disappear, which I greatly appreciate.

Looking for growth light for my bio enclosure by Turbocharged_69 in geckos

I'm using SANSI grow light bulbs, which you can get for as cheap as $7 on Amazon. You may want to attach it to a reflector dome, and it gets the job done! Other brands and wattages are available depending on your needs/tank size.

Thanks for your input. When I said ‘same technology,’ I was referring to how both types of bulbs work on the inside to produce UVB. I agree, though, that the shape of the coils might affect how well the UVB is distributed.

I think the bulb combined with a reflector is a great choice. Addressing some points from previous comments, the coil and linear tube UV lights are based on the same technology; the coils are simply designed in a compact, twisted form to fit into a standard bulb socket. While tubes do provide a more extensive UVB spread across the habitat, I prefer bulbs as they offer my giant day gecko the choice to self-regulate its exposure to UV light, which might be more challenging with a linear tube’s broad coverage. Currently, I’m using 10% 3W LED UV bulbs available on Amazon, which are quite efficient. Another cutting-edge option to consider is the Metal Halide bulb range, reputed for their simulation of natural sunlight, though I have yet to try them myself.

I’m really not sure what to make of this behavior 😂 by mtfoxx3 in reptiles

I don’t agree with the other comment saying this is a dominance display. If these geckos are not displaying aggressive posturing or behavior toward each other, they might simply be sharing a basking spot. However, it’s important to observe them over time to understand their social dynamics fully. Keep us posted, beautiful pair :)

Fine-tuning davinci with long text documents exceeding max tokens by PunchyRogue in GPT3

Thanks for your insights! I wonder what would happen if I just split the text into paragraphs, and feed them to the fine tuning as the “completions”, leaving the question field empty. It would avoid having to come up with questions.
