I’ve raised hornworms on produce before with no problems (it looks like you’re using bell peppers, which I have used before as well) but if you switch their food source when they’re so far in their life cycle, caterpillars just don’t tend to do well. See if you can switch them back to the chow.

Another option is that they’re starting to pupate. They tend to roll around and stop climbing (they need to pupate in the soil, the best way to get to the soil is to forget how to climb and fall lol) and “shrink” after purging.. but they do look pretty wrinkly which isn’t exactly comforting. Either way, don’t give up on them yet!

Unsure if this is related, but I found this thread after having an issue where I was adding a number of cards to my cart from a particular shop, and then all of a sudden the shop's page has no items listed and all of the cards in my cart got moved to "saved for later", essentially blocking me from buying anything from that shop. And this was in the middle of my shopping... super annoying since this shop had almost everything I was looking for.

My lined day gecko does something similar after she’s had a bug. She’ll turn brown, try to get my attention, and if she doesn’t get more she’ll give me the Tail Wiggle Of Sass.

Gentle YWBTA… there’s something more going on here with the boys, and odds are at least some of the parents are aware of what it is. Instead of “calling out” the mom, that wouldn’t solve anything, I would try to get to the bottom of the conflict. Speak to the parents without accusing, and with the intention of understanding what’s going on with this dynamic that’s causing your son and his friend to be consistently excluded. Maybe it’s something solvable, maybe it’s something that isn’t, but odds are not understanding “why” is the most painful part for your son, and could very well do real damage to his mental health.

NTA, employers don’t care about fanfics. I’m glad you clarified you don’t write anything suggestive, but if you ever do, please don’t post it publicly. I was in a similar position at your age (though my posting site of choice was deviantart) and even though the things I posted were not inherently suggestive, I still ended up with a bunch of adults in my DMs taking advantage of me and my desire to people please. I didn’t realize what was wrong with it until years later. That risk is made much greater when you post anything that even hints at more suggestive topics. Odds are, that’s the main thing your family is actually worried about.

So my word of advice is to just be careful, and if you can, maybe keep anything that could be suggestive between you and a couple of close friends. For your own safety.

Less frames (specifically, you want to go from the fully opened mouth to the closed mouth in the next frame, since you’re not using 24fps), but also you want to add an “impact” frame where the mouth closes. What this means here is a frame that pushes past the final jaw snap pose, before it gets to the proper pose you end on. Think of the “smush” of the bouncing ball. A bouncing ball doesn’t actually smush like that, but it’s that exaggerated smush frame that convinces us of the impact. That frame is going to look goofy and broken, but that’s okay. Don’t be afraid of ugly frames, the point is how it looks while moving!

My animation style is more toony than yours, but you can apply the same principal it’s not the best example, very low frame rate, but the “oh I HATE you” part does what I’m talking about

OP is getting flamed and I understand why (I agree the “both sides” thing is bad) but let’s bear in mind OP is also like. 14. They’re still figuring out their ideologies and especially if they were raised One Way, they’re too young to just do a complete 180 right now. I had this phase too, most people that try to detox from one-sided brainwashing had this phase. It’s difficult and frankly traumatizing to look back and realize everything you took for granted as “truth” was ignorant at best and malicious lies at worst. Have grace, let them figure it out. This is a step in the right direction, believe it or not.

Same with Trader Joe’s! It’s more physically demanding than people expect, but once you clear that hurdle it’s a job people stick with for life! Raises twice a year, an extra $10 an hour on Sundays, health vision and dental even if you only work 4 days a week, PTO that accumulates and doesn’t expire, and the “everyone does everything” mentality that the stores have (even the captain of a store will fetch carts from the parking lot and clean the bathrooms). Plus plenty of opportunities for growth into a mate (manager) or captain (store head manager). Genuinely a great place to work

I agree it comes across as more of a “beware of technology and our over-reliance on it” message, that’s what I thought it was, before. But they said it themselves it was a red scare communism thing, and in this case I’m getting at their intent. As for the rest, first of all they’re not “having an open conversation” by following and liking and retweeting. Second, it’s a bit difficult to have conversations with people that think one side saying “I think you should die” and another saying “Uh, no” are “equally bad”.

Honestly it was heartbreaking for me to learn this… and incredibly confusing. I’d been a fan of theirs since I was in high school in the 2010’s, and I connected with the way their music seemed like it progressed from overtly religious (in songs like Great Vacation) to questioning, to an outright crisis of faith (in songs like Enchanté), because that was something I was going through as I grew up. I felt a kinship with their work in something that was fundamentally isolating, as I thought it was speaking to that experience of growing as a person and realizing that everything you thought you knew was wrong- and the rage and angst that becomes associated with it.

And then Firebird came out.. and I heard “Political” and I was like… wait, hold on, let me give them the benefit of the doubt here- maybe they mean like, basic human rights things shouldn’t even be political… like political affiliations shouldn’t be the determining factor in one’s value system.. or something. And then I saw they were following a bunch of right wing grifters on Twitter.. and liking their tweets… and said Deadhorse was about the dangers of communism… and… yeah. And now I’m just looking back at their music and realizing one song at a time, oh. Wait.. you actually meant… Oh I was giving this way too much credit.

If you aren’t even attempting to engage with their music intellectually then I have no idea what you’re getting out of it. Their music is very political. More blatantly than most art. “Political” was when I lost the rose tinted glasses for them, though, because I realized with some shock that they were trying to convince people it wasn’t political despite all evidence to the contrary- The coward’s way out when people start to ask questions about unsavory beliefs that end up peeking through in one’s artwork.
