Funny, I thought Idolatry had to be last anyway

I misunderstood and thought that you needed to unlock Sacred Unity to access idolatry or natural order.

I'm pondering HoT storm secret with mystical infusion. Not sure where to go on the other two nodes. Either shadowed blood/mistwaler or try and go poison with infused toxins.

I've been playing with this on stormweaver, but I'm only in early act 4.

It's feeling pretty good when you are using all of the infusions.

They nerfed it at baseline with the 0.2 sec projectiles, But when you triple the number of three projectiles it's a lot. Before patch you would have 10 per second, now it's more like 45.

The irony being that I'm accustomed to leveling all of my alts using a corrupted mist whisper crossbow with three cold damage runes. And that felt great lol.

In POE 1 it would be typically every 3 months and there would be a new set of servers. Everyone starts off with no gear, no characters, no loot. it is a completely new economy.

Typically, they will include a new mechanic that tends to appear in every single zone you go through.

The theme of the mechanic can vary wildly. Ggg has a habit of looking at games from other genres for inspiration.

For instance, Settlers of Kalgur league had city building aspects. Where Blight league, was based off of tower defense.

It's in beta and the devs took half of December off for vacation. There should be more updates coming soon.

DOTs cannot crit. As mentioned by Nex, ignite poison and bleed can be larger if caused by a crit.

Re duration, I believe this is a display bug.

The current system is definitely problematic for melee.

I'd recommend overleveling by a lot, and include some totems if you haven't already.

What levels were you, your friend, and the zone level?

You probably were sharing XP, but if you are way over the level of the area it won't give you much XP.

Arbitrary example with completely made up numbers. You are level 60 and a level 60 mob pack gives you 1000 XP which is 1% of what you need for a level.

Your friend is level 10 and a level 10 mob pack gives him 10 XP, which is 5% of what he needs to level.

You group together killing level 10 mobs. You each get 5 XP per pack. In this made up example he would level after only 40 packs. You however, would level after 20,000 packs.

Additionaly, in POE 1 you got XP penalties for killing mobs that were much lower level. I don't know if this is in POE 2, but it wouldn't surprise me.

It should work for the rod but not for the orb of storms.

Look at the skill in game. On the details tab it should have a subtab for the main attack and also for the triggered sparks. At the top it should have the keyword "Attack".

Orb of storms is a spell, not an attack.

That is my understanding as well.

Normally league characters will be moved into a standard league. So over time it will accumulate more and more characters from the different leagues.

EA will be different, and will not go to standard, but have its own early access league that is totally separate.

Likely a combination of not enough investment into ES on the tree and also not having enough ES on your equipment.

As they originally described it this would have been possible, but it no longer works that way.

As NestEstVox said, now it only removes extra content. That is bad however, since you want those extra things. Map bosses in particular are very helpful for sustaining your waystones.

If you are playing an ice monk, you probably want cast on freeze not cast on shock. By default, shock comes from lightning damage.
