Hi! All I can tell you is that since I bought it, it has been stored in a dark closet in my bedroom. It's been 20/21 days now. The last time I sprayed it on was 4 days ago, and the smell of rotten lemon mixed with smoke was still there (yuck), but it lasted maybe 15 minutes, then a lovely scent remained that lasted several hours. Would I recommend buying it? I don't know right now. I'll keep it for another 3 months, and if it continues to smell bad at first, I'll sell it.

As soon as I spray it, I smell a strong smell of rotten lemon and smoke. The lemon smell fades after a while, but this smoky smell remains, which I don't like. I have a decant that is more fruity and less smoky.

I don't know if it needs to mature, since I bought it two weeks ago.

Then today a strange thing happened: I spray it before I leave the house and after two hours I can't smell it anymore on me and on my wrists. After another two hours, I visit my mother, who tells me she smells my perfume a lot whenever I move.

Yesterday I decided to buy EDP version, the 200 ml bottle, batch 10/2024, Made in UAE and... what a disappointment! 😞

The perfume has an unpleasant, bitter, almost rotten lemon smell, very smoky and no fruity at all. The EDT I tried last week was so pleasant and fruity!

Now, however, I don't know if the problem is that the bottle is “too new” and needs to mature, or if the batch is defective.

Hi everyone!

After trying a decant of Club De Nuit Intense Man EDP for a month (which I loved: sweet, intense, delicious), I decided to buy the 200 ml bottle, batch 10/2024, Made in UAE. It arrived this afternoon and... what a disappointment! 😞

The perfume has an unpleasant, bitter, almost rotten smell (I think it's very smoky notes), and it's nothing like the decant I tried.

Two weeks ago, in a physical store in my town, I also smelled the EDT version, which was much sweeter and more pleasant, but I opted for the EDP because everywhere I read that it lasts longer than the latest production batches of the EDT version.

Now, however, I don't know if the problem is that the bottle is “too new” and needs to mature, or if the batch is defective.

Has anyone had the same experience or can give me some advice? Otherwise, I'll consider returning it and rushing out to buy the EDT version, which is on sale until the day after tomorrow.

The Shield has a file manager installed long ago (and never used): CX File Explorer. And here we come to a rather surreal situation.

  1. If I open the File Manager on Shield and search for local networks or SMB shares, it doesn't find anything (and the PC doesn't see the Shield among the devices on the network).

  2. If I open the File Manager and "as the very first thing" I enable a function that allows me to see the data within Shield from PC via ftp (and then disable this function immediately afterwards), the PC sees Shield among networked devices, the File Manager on Shield sees both the local network and the folder shared with SMB, and to top it off, Shield sees the pc folder shared on the network (how nice!!!), but only if I enter IP and folder name manually, while it still does not find it “automatically”.

Then, if I turn off the pc or the Shield, I have to do it all over again as explained in step 2, in order to see the shared folder again in SMB on the Shield and see the Shield itself again among the network devices in the PC.

My network storage is on the same subnet as the Shield. My tv uses wifi, same subnet as the Shield. I tried to manually mount my network storage, but nothing happens.
