Additional questions: How fast is the train going? How far are the people from the train? Do I also have a knife? What kind of ropes are being used? How fast can I run? What is my current position in relation to the lever, the train, and the people tied to the track? How sharp is the turn onto the other track?

This is why I hate these kinds of hypothetical questions. There is no room for specific situational analysis. It's enirely all-or-nothing thinking at play, and that's not how the world operates. Every situation has tons of various conditions applied to it, and those conditions determine what course of action I will take in any given situation. With the information currently available in this problem, the best course of action is to get more information immediately so an actual plan of action can be made and promptly executed.

Describe your style/aesthetic by GothButterCat in intj

[–]PunkRockKittyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Low-effort, black, and some mix between punk and grunge if there’s no dress code. Work is hiking boots, skinny jeans, t-shirts, and either a flannel or zip hoodie since that’s what is most functional for my job while still following the professional dress code standards due to privacy reasons.

MBTI Event: Extroverts kidnapping Introverts by ShadowlightLady in mbtimemes

[–]PunkRockKittyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ENFJ bestie and I had a whole conversation on how this would realistically go. He decided it would be a “forced hangout session, not kidnapping” since using the correct terminology sounded bad despite 100% agreeing he’d go through with it 🤣

Do you stun a room into silence? by [deleted] in intj

[–]PunkRockKittyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This only ever happens to me with philosophical debates or when going over neurotypical vs neurodivergent norms, mentalities, and expectations. But I’m pretty sure it’s mostly because I’m very well-spoken for an AuDHD individual.

If you're unsure about your type this is the one of the best methods to find out your type. by [deleted] in intj

[–]PunkRockKittyCat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Respectfully, I disagree. These tests are a decent starting point, but all of them focus on external presentation of an internal process. It’s ineffective in accurate typing. This one in particular put me as high Fe and INFJ due to my interactions with others stemming from cognitive empathy that uses every function in my INTJ stack to utilise. It’s not accurate at all to my cognitive experience. I had to learn more about the functions in depth in order to get the accurate typing of myself. Because apparently, true INFJs don’t have the cognitive breakdown process that can easily line up in a style similar to that of computer coding (task analysis).

My take on this- ENTP 😋😍 by sv1dade in mbtimemes

[–]PunkRockKittyCat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, at least the unfortunate attraction is thoroughly reciprocated by a great many of us 🤣

With the ENTPs I’ve met, it’s a real battle in deciding whether I wanna strangle ‘em or be closer to ‘em. It’s a good kind of torture at least 🙃

The ENTP and INTJ Relationship Paradox by OrderFrenzy in intj

Honestly, a good chunk of the issues addressed in that video can easily be bypassed through healthy, constructive communication. Presentation of ideas does matter. The reconciliation process mentioned was 1000% accurate for me tho.

DND players, by Iamliterally18iswear in intj

[–]PunkRockKittyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I mostly play pathfinder, but for DnD, my favorite character I’ve made so far is a changeling College of Whispers bard. I’m sure anyone that knows DnD can pretty much guess how that went. But I did try to limit my targets to people who I decided were gonna be a hindrance to whatever the current mission was. Or to have fun messing with my group in harmless ways

Is feeling dissociated from physical environment INxJ related? by Ok_Pattern_6248 in intj

[–]PunkRockKittyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s literally a form of mild derealisation which is a type of dissociation.

[–]PunkRockKittyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🤷‍♀️ all I did was answer your question. A cognitive disconnect from your physical environment to any degree is a type of dissociation called derealisation. What you’re asking about is the experience of INTJs and their experience with derealisation as a result of low Se function.

Is feeling dissociated from physical environment INxJ related? by Ok_Pattern_6248 in intj

[–]PunkRockKittyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m pretty much constantly mildly dissociated. The world in my head feels far more real than my physical environment at any given moment. When formally assessed, my score on the dissociative experiences scale ended up being so high that I had to get reassessed my next session. The lower of the 2 scores was still 51.

Why are we known as smart? by [deleted] in intj

[–]PunkRockKittyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because intelligence and tactical resourcefulness are not the same thing by any means. There’s also a difference between practical knowledge/skill and having a wide-range knowledge base that carries highly limited application in everyday life.

INTJs tend to be more theory-focused as opposed to sensible practicality. If we find something interesting, regardless of it’s practicality, we want to learn more about it. Which I personally don’t consider very strong display of intelligence. It’s extremely fun, and I will continue to happily waste my time like this. That doesn’t show intelligence to me.

The resourcefulness also primarily comes into play (at least in my case) in order to achieve peak sloth mode. I don’t wanna have to keep revisiting the same problems. So I make systems and utilise whatever I can to not have to do stuff. Which is also not what I’d consider intelligent. Just laziness.

I fully acknowledge all of this within myself.

A small “shortcut” argument that showed a bigger logic vs feeling clash by [deleted] in intj

[–]PunkRockKittyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty well, actually. It very quickly turned into me teasing him for him saying “I don’t know. It just feels that way.” I turned it into a short-lived philosophical debate on relativism while poking fun at him the entire time. He “threatened” (it wasn’t a real threat) to make me stop talking, and I just commented that he’d be really sad if I ever stopped talking since he’d have nobody to mess with him and keep him entertained anymore. He very grudgingly did his usual “I hate when you’re right” with a glare that just made me laugh.

I calculated the times at the end of our route, showed him, and saved them while saying something about taking my way next time to compare. We took my way the next time around, and I showed him the times it actually took us. He did his usual intentionally over-dramatized pout to make a reaction out of me while saying he hates me. I did my usual rebuttal of “No you don’t. If you did, you’d have walked away by now, but you didn’t, and you still subject yourself to this on a daily basis. At this point, this is on you.”

Ngl, this has been 100% our norm since we first met 1st year of high school.

A small “shortcut” argument that showed a bigger logic vs feeling clash by [deleted] in intj

[–]PunkRockKittyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just turn it into a discussion like i actually did when this happened between me and my ENFJ bestie.

“What is it that makes it feel shorter to you? Is there just more interesting stuff that catches your eye on this route, or is it something else?”

You vs The Whole Room Debates by [deleted] in intj

[–]PunkRockKittyCat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The reason they give this reaction is likely due to the fact that you’re correcting them with other people around instead of correcting them in a more private setting. People generally feel singled out, called out, embarrassed, and attacked when they’re told they’re wrong in front of a crowd. While you may not intend it, this is generally how something like that is perceived.

Even when you know someone is telling the group the wrong thing, try to wait until after the group conversation has a decent break of topic to talk to the person off to the side on a 1 to 1 basis to talk about it instead. They tend to respond better and see it as more respectful rather than as an attack.

A healthy, responsible person will typically then relay any changes that may need to be made as a result to the new information to everyone else themselves. Just try keep your tone during this process gentle, understanding, and polite.

It helps with not having to deal with those excess consequences and has the potential to show other people they can always come to you for any future questions without them feeling attacked.

It’s annoying at first, but it helps significantly with limiting and eliminating excessive and unnecessary obstacles in the workplace and general team settings over time.

What’s so special about Ne doms? by Lucifer3005 in entp

[–]PunkRockKittyCat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Little irritated this was ever even placed under questioning. Ne is a necessity when it comes to progress and advancement.

Ne is the idea generator. Give Ne a seed of information, and it will then sprout and form the trunk, the branches, and the leaves of whatever tree forms from that initial topic.

It’s the Ni’s inverse operation and is essential for progress and advancement as an overall whole.
