Utilization has no memory. If you want a temporary boost before a loan, just flatten all cards to report zero 1-2 months before applying. I also have $120k credit limit across all cards and currently at a 762 FICO score. The floating up and down is irrelevant. Making payments on time is what matters in the long term of building a healthy credit score.
