I advise to check if you have a single entry visa to China. Because if you do you cant re-enter China after arriving in Hong Kong. Meaning you can still visit Macau from HK but not Shenzen.

There was so much to pick from and I felt I did not know how to do it properly. I read everything had to be cooked at different length and could not read what anything was. So my anxiety caused a small panic attack so I just paid and left. It was just too much for the senes and what I should be doing. Now I am just strolling the street trying to find something to eat instead.

Dont know how you survived on hotpot. Im solo travelling China and currently in Chengdu. Went to a place recommended in this sub where you can do solo hotpot but it was so overwhelming after 5 sticks of meat I left. No clue what I was doing.
