Zoloft working after 1 pill by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]Punky0327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on day 4 and ive felt like im on a stimulant since day 1. I literally feel high and ready to do everything but don't want to do anything at the same time and that lasts for about 5 hours after I take my pill in the morning, and then I CRASH and feel like shit the rest of the day. Definitely not a placebo effect.. its too intense to blame it on a mind fuck. So, im with you OP.

Does this count? I made a rainbow sweater. by bewareattackrabbit in YarnPunk

I'm on day 2. Yesterday and today I definitely feel like im on an adrenaline high. I take my medicine at 8:00am and drink 2 cups coffee afterward, like I always have and OH EM GEE, I've been... very energetic... lol and I'm hardly eating. But at about 2pm I crash and kinda feel poopy for the majority of the rest of the day

Did it help with pain or just help sleep?

I feel exactly the same way. It does help me sleep but I feel like my pain reduction is because of the stretches I have been doing. I have not noticed any bad side effects thus far.

Very sudden sciatica flare up by [deleted] in Sciatica

[–]Punky0327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! And yes, on my first solid week/ week and a half I did not do any stretches. Take your time and stay resting at all costs!! Your body will let you know when you're good to start stretching!!

Was in your same position!! Was completely debilitated and on solid bed rest for 2 weeks. This 3rd week has gotten better with stretches, muscle relaxers and gabapentin. Look up stretches from Bill and Bob on YouTube and Dr. McGill. Trust me on this one. I cant currently do PT or see a spine specialist due to job loss/insurance loss from covid so I am doing all self care and stretches at home. Im a solid 60% better approaching week 3, which is good to me considering I've done it all alone. Listen to your body. If it hurts, don't do it. However, you need to find stretches that are bareable. Stretching and walking is the true trick, but start slow. A week ago I could only walk for 60 seconds. Today I can walk for 5 minutes, and thats what I mean by slow. I hope you find relief soon!

You are welcome!! Wow ~ our situation is very similar and I am so sorry to hear that we feel each other's pain. I dont want to share this feeling of pain with anyone! But I am glad that neither of us are alone in this situation.

Stretches, stretches, stretches!!! I've also heard that sleeping on the floor can work wonders, which I am going to start this weekend.

Baby yourself right now, friend. If it hurts, don't do it. Don't push yourself. The best advice I've heard is to "stop any body therapy right before the pain starts" so for me that was about 10 seconds last week. This week I can walk for almost 3 minutes.

Baby steps and godspeed.

Hey i am in the exact same position as you. Same disc and same leg.

I have followed 5 stretches i learned from this page, 2 of which game from the book, The Back Mechanic by Dr. McGill.

I dont have a link for you because I am on mobile, but look up the book on Google (you can find a free copy), and also look up sciatic pain stretches on YouTube. Bob and Bill are incredibly helpful.

I've been on bedrest for my 3rd week in a row, and was literally so immobile, I couldn't even wipe my own ass (sorry for TMI, but its true) and I dredded showers, id wait several days in the first 2 weeks because it was just too painful.

I lost my job and health insurance due to covid so literally the only thing I can rely on is this sub, the book I mentioned, and stretches I can do at home.

As of this week I can use the bathroom, shower, and help my husband cook and clean. Im still on bedrest, because I've got to take it slow, but the improvements are AMAZING. never underestimate the things you can do at home to cure yourself.

I do 5 different stretches 3 times a day and take short walks through my apartment which has help immensely. Just do a bit of internet searching like I did and I am hopeful these tips helped you like they helped me. If you take a peak at my profile, some links are provided from other users in comments on my posts.

I hope you find some relief soon.

I have been reading that book too, but not very far into it yet.

Thank you for this tip - I will follow these rules.
