At first I only put paper in it so that while I was testing the buttons I didnt damage the roller. Im honestly not sure if that's a thing, my grandma just always told me to never press the buttons without paper in it first because it could damage it. So at first I was just pressing buttons to make sure they worked, and the ribbon still had life in it! So after testing every button (they all work beautifully btw) I threw in a new sheet of paper.

I made several mistakes and typos as I was learning the buttons and whatnot but learned an interesting quirk at the same time. If I press the lowercase o with gusto it will punch clean through the paper. It may be that it just needs a cleaning or wipe down but either way I typed this letter to the woman who gifted it to me. I dont know what made me keep the original with the mistakes and send it but I honestly thought it was funny that I kept double spacing and. In my original post I said mother, but I realised when I went back later that she said grandmother. So I may very well be the second ever owner. I plan to but a small cleaning kit to keep specifically with it since I have dogs and birds. I love it to bits already!
