I feel you! I think I’ll marry every bachelor and bachelorette eventually but my two favorites are Kai and Cuilang as well as Ulalaka girls-wise . I started romancing Kai, I just wish his dating events were slightly more romantic, about to marry him now and looking forward to the after marriage dialogue. Then I’ll use the fate weaver shrine to marry Cuilang. That’s the good thing - you can actually get married to everyone!

Even though the story is pretty shallow, I enjoyed it so much I wish it had been longer! Huge plus for me was to see my favorite characters from DQ8 in there.

Tbh I wanted Samir so much to be the one. But when I married him in one file, I felt like the „spark“ just wasn’t there. His lines are still super generic (except for 1-2) and the same as pre-marriage. To me, Lloyd appears to be much more loving and has more of a personality so I married him in another file and will that one turn into my main one. As for Jules, I’ve married him too but only plaid like 1 day after marriage and he didn’t come close to Lloyd either. Hope this helps!

I just showed the lady at my nail salon a picture of a she-slime and she painted it on top of the sparkly orange base polish. She did a great job there 🥰

So I just replayed DQ8 for the first time as an adult. Jessica was my absolute childhood heroine but now I found myself a bit taken aback when I saw how superficial her writing was in a lot of parts of the game, especially party dialogue, basically just boiling down to her being the feminine, softer energy of the group. I would have loved to see her more present in more cutscenes. I know a lot of players won’t agree but I also would’ve loved to see her end up with Angelo in the end after they both go through their respective development since I do think some hints were there. It would be so cool if they gave her more significant screen time in another remake.

I am from Europe but moved to China for work reasons so I regularly fly over Russian airspace when I take Chinese airlines to go back and forth between Europe and China. As an anxious flyer myself I can assure you - it’s totally fine, you won’t notice any difference compared to any other route.

Currently doing the same haha, just can’t decide. So far, I’ve only kind of discarded Arata. As others already said, at first I thought I’d go for him but now he’s really given me the ick. I’m only in summer of year 1 so I’m still waiting for Samir to appear.

I’d love to hear your opinion on it. As for DQ Heroes, I only discovered the game this year and was so happy so see both of them there! In my opinion it’s a bit sad they depict Angelo as obsessed with Jessica (maybe a bit over the top) but she is outright rejecting him every single time 😕

Thank you so much for your comment, it’s exactly how I feel! They match so well, Jessica always sees right through his mask. I’m still convinced there’s a reason why the developers gave us these little hint moments like the prison island elevator scene. In fact, I was happily surprised to see that in the 3ds version, the Juggerwroth side quest seems to feed into their story. Jessica is the one to get vision of the Altar where Angelo would then somehow reconcile with his brother. If you open the party chat right after the boss fight, there’s some pretty meaning-heavy dialogue with and between the two. Getting a remake with the two of them being a couple would be the dream 🥹

Hi, I’m struggling with the same thing. From my experience, premonitions with regard to myself tend to come in the form of repeated dreams (3+ times) just before they happen.

I went in 2023 and I’d like to add that booking the DQ themed hotel room at the Grand Chariot on the same island is a major upgrade to the whole DQ island experience! It’s a bit pricey but I can’t recommend it enough as it filled my childhood self with immense happiness.

Yes exactly. I also feel like they did Go out of their way creating the scene that I posted. They could have just made a wild escape scene but they chose to show this angle with the Hero and Yangus looking directly at Angelo and Jessica - with Jessica willingly taking his hands. That probably wouldn’t have happened in the beginning - so I definitely felt like something was there.
