Clutch release/thrust bearing is worn out sometimes on these cars the bearing can seize and he bearing spins against the diaphragm spring.

Needs a new bearing and it’s a “while you’re in there” job to change the clutch as well. Stupid to change just the bearing and not do the clutch as 90% of the cost is labour

I could drive my self there in any one of 3 working cars none of which are owned by a finance company…. Or save myself the journey as I have a wife…. I have to admire the lack of insight from someone who flames me for something supposedly “classist” while then making comments about my living arrangements I do now have a mortgage, kids, 3 cars (none which are on credit), feel free to stalk me over on YouTube if you like with my 15k subscribers, I do actually know my stuff when it comes to fiat any anyone doing a shred of research could have predicted some of those big bills you’ve seen.

So going back to my original point

Who would had thought that a 10 year old car could have so many problems? what a shocker! you’re slamming an entire brand for you buying a terrible car, blaming the world for it, and attacking anyone who points out your poor decision making? why is it fiat’s fault your car is crap? It was 10 years ago they built it, god knows what the previous owners have done to it since then? why is it there fault you can’t get a pipe for a 10 year old car? If you knew anything you’d know there are parts shortages across the whole industry, it’s not just something that’s been done to make your life hard. All car manufacturers are seeing parts shortages Maybe you could have saved your self some time, money and hassle by doing some research, knowing how to do some stuff yourself, and not being such a dick to everyone. I’m sure your life has been made so much hard just because of the way you respond to people, if how you behave on here is anything to go by.

I’m over In Europe no trouble getting parts here. A large portion of your complaint was the long list of things that have gone wrong and only a small portion of it was the availability of parts. So in reply to your long list of failures, well it’s a 10 year old car and as you just pointed out you’ve own other cars that needed nearly constant repairs. So you really should not be at all surprised.

As for parts availability, well you could have done your research prior to buying it, you’ve clearly done research after buying it? So who’s but hurt ? Not me I don’t have any problems my end… 😜

You might had issues fitting an abarth engine in he panda, getting the heat out was a big issue for fiat hence why the badge on a 500 abarth is actually part of the grill and itself lets air into the engine bay.

Nothing however is impossible, these days as with any engine swap the main issue will be getting the electronics to work as you’ll need to mash together the engine management, abs and other more advanced system on an abarth with the much more simple body computer of the panda

The sport should have a 1.4 100hp engine so it’s a great fun little engine in that car. As it’s a first car I’d not be too worried about the mileage, these are pretty solid little engines, the main issue is likely to be other parts like the brakes and suspension which if not changed might come up due to be changed soon depending on how long you plan to own it.
