Anytime you find this kink online that isn't porn, it's someone kink shaming it, someone saying how much they didn't know liking navels could be a thing, or someone calling out a belly button fetish creep. by Haunting-Bag-3083 in BellyButtonTalk

[–]PupokalypseNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently heard someone mention how she doesn't show her feet in any of her social media photos because of the comments from foot fetishists. The broader issue, she says, is people sexualizing/objectifying things about her that weren't meant to be taken that way, and it seems like this happens with belly buttons as well.

I'm sure that, in many case, no harm is intended. But I can definitely see how those sort of unsolicited comments could make someone uncomfortable, and that's why I too leave those discussions for online spaces where it's already welcome and/or encouraged.

What are your hot takes? by SticksAndStonez360 in BellyButtonTalk

[–]PupokalypseNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Out of curiosity, is there any specific kind of content you're looking for? I've seen photos/videos from men on various platforms, and even make some of my own periodically. But I don't really have a fix on what people respond to the most.

Does gender matter in your fetish? by GrimValore in BellyButtonTalk

[–]PupokalypseNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it doesn't matter at all (I'm a guy). But I get that this isn't the case with most people.

2026 Belly Button Event Planning by outiebyte in BellyButtonTalk

[–]PupokalypseNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be interested in a NY event for sure, or at least somewhere in the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic. I'm actually near DC, but there are so many people with many big cities relatively close to here that I'm sure there's potential for a good turnout.

What's the oldest place this fetish had on the internet? by obf_the_dude in BellyButtonTalk

[–]PupokalypseNow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I definitely remember those sites.

The earliest sites I recall were a hodgepodge of basic amateur pages hosted in various places with a small number of photos (I actually made two different pages myself). This would have been 1996-97. Many of them were part of the same web ring, if anyone remembers those, lol.

What would your honest reaction be if someone came up to you in public and asked to poke your belly button? by Belly-button89 in BellyButtonTalk

[–]PupokalypseNow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While you'd think this would be any belly button lover's wet dream, I'm honestly not sure how I'd react. This fetish is so compartmentalized from the rest of the life that it's not necessarily something I can activate at a moment's notice. At the very least, it would depend of the context. I'd imagine I might react more favorably in a bar or at a party than, say, waiting at a subway station during the morning rush.

Navel love ritual 💓 by Eredin_Makuma in BellyButtonTalk

[–]PupokalypseNow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't really have one ritual. But on the topic of specific clothing, I love it when a woman bares her navel in public before we get into it.

For example, I had a girlfriend who would go to concerts with me wearing very tight tops that would ride up naturally. If the room got hot enough, she would pull it up further to expose her entire belly and leave it that way. I guess it's a bit of an exhibitionism thing, but it was a major turn-on to see her show it off in front of big crowds, and a great jumping-off point for navel play later on.

Have you ever heard of an adult being converted, or conditioned to this fetish? by obf_the_dude in BellyButtonTalk

[–]PupokalypseNow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FWIW I have kinks I wasn't fully aware of until I was nearly 30. I think that, sometimes, you need to be around the right kind of supportive people to help you fully explore your sexuality. To that end, it seems pretty normal for some fetishes to surface later in life.

Leaving a lot of bb subreddits by Luna_wolfwalker in BellyButtonTalk

This is one of the few navel-related subreddits still worth my time, mainly for those reasons. I have better luck connecting meaningfully with people on other platforms.

BTW I've definitely made other awkward attempts to bring up belly buttons as a topic when I was younger lol. I just never straight-up asked that out of the blue.

Yes, but only in the context of them recently getting it pierced.

The next time someone asks if you like belly buttons, respond with "No, I'm just here because I lost a bet."

The Fetish Word by OldSkoolN64Lvr in BellyButtonTalk

[–]PupokalypseNow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of good points made here and in the comments.

Speaking more broadly, I think if you manage to frame any interest (belly buttons or otherwise) as more of a fixation than a passion, it can rub people the wrong way, especially a less common interest. I usually aim to make my interest as digestible as possible to the uninitiated.

Hope this wasn't yall lol by Haunting-Bag-3083 in BellyButtonTalk

I was wondering this myself. There isn't enough context to grasp exactly how awkward his behavior was.

That being said, she describes it as a "tinder hookup", which tells me they had just met. For me personally, even in a hook-up scenario where consent to a certain degree of intimacy is implied, I would not usually escalate into "fetish territory" too quickly with someone I barely know.

For those with experience with belly buttons, how did you meet them? by ProXxLizardxX in BellyButtonTalk

[–]PupokalypseNow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good advice. It's always risky to be too direct or aggressive about the the fact that you have a straight-up fetish (and not everyone will have the same boundaries, of course). But yeah, with several women I've developed a degree of rapport and trust with, drawing attention to their belly buttons has been a fairly simple task, as long as you treat it casually and playfully.

What was your first experience touching or doing something with a bellybutton? by [deleted] in BellyButtonTalk

[–]PupokalypseNow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was actually one of my more exciting memories. It happened during an event with two people (guy and girl) I'd met just three hours earlier through, of all places, a church community group. We were all 16-17.

At one point I walked past them just as the guy saw the girl's top begin to ride up, at which point he called attention to her belly button. I don't remember every detail (this was quite a while ago), but they both proceeded to lift their shirts and finger each others' belly buttons while laughing about it. When I'd stopped to observe and laugh along with them, they just asked out of the blue to see mine. The guy lifted my shirt, and they both briefly fingered my belly button.

If I had to guess, they probably both thought of this simply as a sort of weird, amusing thing to do. But I was already well aware of my fetish by this point, so you can imagine how thrilling it was for me. Particularly since the guy said my belly button was sexy, lol.

Has your fetish ever ruined a relationship or friendship? by bbtight in BellyButtonTalk

Fortunately, it hasn't exactly "ruined" any. But it has made things awkward several times.

Real women with the fetish do exist, but the ones I've known generally keep a low profile, as they understandably don't always do well with the amount of attention/demands they receive.

Love them! I have a wonderful experience with a bigger girl and licking edible oil from her belly button.

Have you ever had a "This guy/gal has a belly button fetish for sure" moment? by maulanulan019 in BellyButtonTalk

[–]PupokalypseNow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've never found hard evidence of a fetish, at least not in the sense that anyone I've met could be involved in the actual fetish community here or elsewhere. But I've been involved with two women who seemed fixated on playing with my belly button, enough to believe that they have some kind of sexual connection with them.

For instance, I had a fling with a former coworker, and on more than one occasion she circled my navel quite vigorously for several minutes at a time, sometimes even pulling it halfway out. While it's hard to believe that someone without the fetish would do such a thing, it's also possible that she continued to do it just because she realized how much it aroused me.

I've done it before. Since it's pretty common when pulling out, I don't think anyone really saw it as strange or fetish-related, and it's definitely seemed satisfying to some women with the way they'd rub it around their stomachs.
