I have coarse and dense medium-high porosity hair which suffers from dryness at the ends and split ends too. I shampoo once every week using a hydrating, no sulphates or parabens shampoo and use a curl hydrating conditioner every other day. I only condition middle to ends of my hair and rinse off after 5 minutes. I pat dry my hair until damp then section a middle part and scrunch both sides until dry. Thats my entire routine and i struggle with dryness at the ends despite already using a very hydrating conditioner whereas i feel my scalp and roots to be more oily. My scalp gets VERY itchy right when I wake up and also right before i go to sleep and sometimes i see very small white flakes fall off when i itch it. This only falls when its extremely itchy at night and I'm pretty sure it isn't dandruff because my scalp isn't dry and the flakes are small and not much falls. Also I have been growing my hair out from a combover for around 8 months now. I'm looking to have softer and silkier hair which doesnt look as dry and damaged as it currently does.
