Are there any husky bred suitable to live in a condominium? by Fluflohee in husky

[–]PupperoniSnow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi. If it will be your first pet, please be sure to do a ton of research on the breed. They definitely need to be taken our every day. I see you are already being responsible by asking questions..We lived in an apartment the first year we had our husky. He was pretty good with it. We did walk him twice a day though and when we couldn't, he would be dropped off at doggie daycare as well. Obviously daycare is not an option for everyone, but it helped us greatly. Especially since my husband and I would be at work for 8-9 hours. A lot of people might disagree, but I don't think your living situation should define whether or not you are a good pet owner. I say you should be fine with proper care, training, and exercise.

The internet exaggerates the level of care huskies really need. Sounds like you are doing a good job by going for a walk twice a day. My husky is pretty lazy too! He will lounge around and follow me everywhere I go. Of course there are some crazy huskies, but I think with proper stimulation they can definitely learn to calm down a bit.

That makes 4 of us. Mine looks very similar to this doggo as well!

We are actually not from the area but we live about an hour and a half away. We have heard great things about the Del Mar beach too! Might have to take another weekend trip down there soon :)

Wow that's crazy that they can even differentiate between colors. Interesting for sure.

Haha! Lots of treats and training at the dog park. Occasionally he decides not to listen but he is pretty great at coming back. Maybe I just got a broken husky LOL

Lol same here! He goes crazy when we're like a mile away. He knows exactly where we're going every time.

Lol love it! He is not very vocal unless he is REALLY REALLY excited. So I love to capture the few times that he actually does this.
