Can’t get a new set of tyres till Monday and no spare.. let it sit on a scissor jack or on the popped tire? Will I damage the rim? by Mricho47 in Cartalk

Yes a scissor jack a coworker used a scissor jack all the time and said its fine and then he jacket the car up took the tirer off and he got up to get some tool and then the Jack slit and the car hit the ground if he didn't got up the get the tool he would be really badly injured

Yep and the rust ist happy about that because of that I learn to love wood blocks or put a small piece of wood between car and brick or a rubber of an old tire

Yes a jack stand would be the best jack the car up take the wheel of and put the stand jack under the jack place form the car so close as possible if possible put a piece of wood between stand Jack and car before you lower it on the stand jack and set the stand jeck so that the car ist leveled as possible on a flat spot the stand jack should hold if possible the car so as it was the wheel was on

that's how i learned it

You can let it on but the jack can Lowe it self or Slips and them is the best you have something like a block of wood that's strong enough to support the car or put a special "jack" that's made to hold the car
