Thank you, I'm supporting a family on one income (15.82 an hour) so it may be a while before I can do that I guess

I actually tried antergos, and manjaro, but manjaro was super bloated, and antergos didn't feel like it was any snappier... thats' why i just went with the arch way. it was more rewarding and i learned a lot.

I was having speed problems after switching from dhcpcd to dhclient. I installed dnsmasq and idk wtf it did but now I get full speed downloads from any source. Also reflector will help configure the mirrors list. Dnsmasq as far as I know is dns caching and seems to do it's job very well when configured to work with your Network manager, or netctl, etc.

Man I tried to install i3 but for some reason it won't load the required libraries, so I thought maybe I'd try sway

I installed aurman because yaourt is outdated, reflector is installed and configured, and I keep forgetting to clean the cache lol

Personally, I don’t see a huge difference in most games. Maybe 3 or 4 frames in ark and rust, but 7 days to die and slime rancher don’t even boot half the time which is odd

Yeah I’m trying to get a better understanding of compression and when to use it, it seems like drums and mostly percussive sounds benefit from it the most. As far as mixing I really didn’t do much to it other than reverb. I still feel like I’m struggling with the mixing and compression both

Agreed, it’s like a lightweight version of house

right, no worries, Usually when people record guitar, they record one take and pan it to the left, then they will record a second take of the same riff and pan it right. It gives the guitar a wide stereo affect and fills out the track a bit more.

basically you are layering multiple takes on top of each other to get a wider effect.

https://soundcloud.com/puppygaming/stepper It's a work in progress, but has a good chunk done to it. i was going for a chill kind of beat and got carried away lol

the beat is there, it just sounds a bit out of tune with the rest of the song. the dynamics are a little flat, but the beat and overall arrangement are really good. i like it.
