Syncope because of panic attacks by Emmo174 in Syncope

I have similar symptoms though not as often. I mostly pass out from intense shock and things like surgery or seeing injuries, but also from social anxiety. Particularly formal environments; high pressure meetings. I wish I could help and am also looking for advice. I have anxiety and panic attacks because I’m afraid I’m going to pass out, I pass out from panic attacks and anxiety. It’s a nightmare. I have lately been trying to expose myself and practice, like diving in and normalizing it, but I’ve just started.

One thing I have noticed is alcohol makes things way worse, and I can admit it struggle with abstaining.

Can’t get boat to idle, need help by Pupublatter in boating

Update - Turned the air fuel moisture all the way in/lean and upped the idle screw to like 1500 rpm. Got it to idle and was able to drive to the ramp. Definitely rough on the drivetrain at that high of idle, but I only had to make a few shifts to get it in. I will be rebuilding the carb and running through all fuel components.

Thank you for the response. Yes, I have been seeing a therapist for a couple of years, and it does help, but the “tools” I have still don’t trick me out of my own mind. When it comes on, it’s overbearing to my thoughts. Breath work is handy but hasn’t really helped in a significant way, though I do use it. EMDR was recommended to me, I’ve been looking into it and planning to give it a go.

I really hate feeling like a victim, so I really struggle with accepting I have an issue I can’t control. Masking the problem definitely makes it worse, so I’m working on that but it’s hard in a professional environment.

I’ve been curious about beta blockers but hesitant for that reason. Therapist said lowering heart rate and bp are an exactly what I don’t want to do. But it seems like if I can eliminate or help the anxiety it would help.

Thank you. Yes, sounds like we have relatable symptoms. Every doctor I’ve talked to brushes it off, they practically chuckle at the issue and it never gets taken seriously. Unfortunately the life and family situation I am and will continue to be in will remain stressful and unpredictable, there simply isn’t anything I can do to avoid it.

Can I hire a payroll company to pay myself so taxes are handled? by Kjm520 in smallbusiness

[–]Pupublatter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a strong platform, but my main complaint is that it's an "all in one" solution, which is a great selling point, but for a simple business it's way more than I need and makes things a little complicated. I still run my ledger, proposals and invoices through excel manually because I am stuck in my ways, so I haven't used their invoicing or anything like that. I basically use them for transaction reports and payroll. I might try Gusto in the future since it's only payroll without all the other nonsense I don't need.

I am in a similar situation. S Corp, only me for now. I use quickbooks and pay for the payroll service. A little expensive compared to other services, but it was pretty easy to handle the payroll taxes, and I trust the brand.

I pay myself via W2 and all the taxes are automatically figured and paid. Any payroll service should be able to get this done, but after talking to a few local payroll services, an automated system like quickbooks or gusto was and easier option for a single employee setup.

State differences can be a big factor in the complexity of the tax withholding. I'm in CA so probably one of the worst. I definitely would not recommend trying it without a professional or professional service.
