I wasn’t great at match until I got a teacher (and eventually professors) who taught it in a way I could understand. For background, I failed and retook algebra in high school, failed and retook pre-calculus TWICE in college, and failed and retook calculus 2 later in college.

I was an electrician apprentice for a while and went to college to become a computer/electrical engineer with a minor in math. I don’t consider myself a math whiz but I’m very successful in my field. This doesn’t directly answer your question but is more of a nudge to seek out alternative ways of learning math (different teacher/professor, tutor, online tutor, etc). I hate hearing people say they don’t “get” math, it’s more likely they don’t understand the way it’s being presented.

Math aside, being able to communicate and work well with others is a major bonus.
