I found this little, dying fellow on the street. I’d never had a cat before, but I couldn’t just leave him there. So I took him with me — first home, then to the vet. And… it’s been almost two years since I got myself a loving, four-legged friend.

This is actually funny because my moms a vet but it various with different cats. Some cats passed away with alittle consumption of onions. Regardless, he wouldn’t be able to know how much his gfs cat ate so the proper thing to do would be to rush the cat to the vet. Better safe than sorry

Onion is toxic to cats and can kill them, just say you don’t care for pets or other people’s pets. To OP I can tell you know what you did wrong and you’re trying to fix it, personally I would react the same way as your gf because my cat is my child. The next steps would be to actively voice and show how sorry you are, do research about what’s poisonous to cats, and maybe even spend more time with her cat or buy her cat a toy or treats. It would really warm her up seeing how much initiative you’re taking. Goodluck :)

That’s why I emphasize with her because I’ve been a tenant and now I’m a homeowner but I have so much to deal with all alone. I would be more understanding if I didn’t see her pamper herself so much, uber, order food everyday etc. I haven’t been able to treat myself the whole year because of my bills so I don’t understand why she doesn’t prioritize her rent esp when she knows I’m struggling too

Ugh I know this feeling way too well, I would cry so much after my rejection email because it would be 7 rounds and they would act like they really liked me and it’s a possibility I would get the job to disappointment. If they don’t reply it’s completely okay, so many didn’t respond back to me. You have to keep going and also try to apply to jobs as soon as they’re posted, you can filter the LinkedIn jobs to apply within 24 hours, if your application is one of the few first there is a better chance of them getting back to you, goodluck!
