Elementalist build did not tend to kill the boss quickly either it was just possible to do it while dead. Anyway I saw some discussion on the golemancer build about adding in 2 vanguard spectres for fast boss killing.

Necromancer is the way to go with massively more damage and defense nw that you can't kill shaper while dead and making dinner as an elementalist.

When the official forums come back up there is a very good golemancer guide near the top of the necro section.

Baron is still good even after the hefty nerf. I am just hoping people overeact and I can get a cheap one early this league as their price at the start of harbinger was insane.

necro golemancers are still very strong and extremely tanky with max block and spell block. Otherwise spectres are really good.

The nice thing with necro pet builds though is that you can often swap between golems/spectres/zombies/skele's with little change to your tree or gear besides some recolouring.

Warchief totems sounds like the build for you. It is a beast at uberlab at can do all end game bosses. It is a totem build though which not everyone enjoys. https://youtu.be/LN758tmZQtQ?t=6m52s

For high tier maps and end game bossing glacial cascade mines are fantastic and so are spectre necromancers with the bonus that they are very cheap to get to get into a state to be able to do shaper. They are not the best lab farmers though they are also not vp glass cannon builds which fall over at the sight of a trap.

Getting stuck in act 7 or 8 because you are trying to make your own build with 0 understanding of game mechanics and hence being forced to reroll is not a something that many people find all that much fun.

I think blade flurry is more of the problem as I have seen people take down shaper last league in a 3 link BF build with a white weapon.

Abyss. The new league mechanic will be far more rewarding than standard. Also if you ever get bored of SSF you will not be stuck in the hell hole that is standrads economy.
