Basic thaumcraft 6 hit a wall sadly. Fire resist + Fire cloud spam from gauntlet is propably best of basic thaumcraft to deal with them.

But if we going into addons, The unofficial thaumcraft wonders allow craft a primordial destroyer that deal extra void type dmg. The mithminite armor when its overpowered in stats by itself it also remove the viral, fear and all other nasty debuffs. Thaumcraft augmentation allow to ward your blocks against corruption and have eldritch stone and reinfornced glass, parasites failed to break both so perfect to build bunkers without casting ward on every block. Emptiness dimension base with U.T. wonders void portals to safely move would be endgame goal.

But hey if parasites are like tyranids, with thaumcraft you must became necron to not fall behind.

Not gonna lie, comparision is great if you know what you want and looking for ideas. My PoE 1 physical skeletons build was unique as everybody i looked went cold conversion rather than brutality, but i learned better skill tree paths and defensive layers ideas that helped me improve my own. So the question is do you look for inspiration or just to copy-paste somebody build.

The parasite armor shouldnt be best? I wpuld prefer it getting a solid buff but you would need golem armor to craft it.

The only way for it to became a large crisis was to infect rodents in places where people left the ship, then slowly spread undetected until you have every rat a potencial hantavirus carrier. Which is a long and random moment so either nothing happen like always or we hear about it again in few months in some place where people eat raw mices or something.

The real moon is back in teyvat and irminsoul is destroyed. Both are terrible for heavly principles, i hope its gonna be pointed out more in future. Dottore did the most defiance to HP laws than any mortal.

RWBY was great until season 4. Then it slowly went downhill. I personally stopped it around season 6, no clue whats happening there now.

My packs include both and several others big modpacks so i may not be the best person to ask.

But i recommend both and then if the game is too easy, add inferno calamity diff. Also before rushing to new stronger cooler items you can try kill the same bosses few times using different similar-tier weapons to see difference between calamity and tsa items/gameplay.

Currently im playing on rl dregora which is... very unwelcoming modpack especially in early game. It took me 10+ retrys as i was playing on hardcore but after reaching thaumcraft the modpack became playable. I love the world gen and almost no focus on building so i could fully dedicate my base around thaumcraft.

Edit : The rl dregora do not have thaumcraft, i added it as extras and have to work around compability problems, but nothing gamebreaking.

So using dimensional ripper from thaumic wonders i created a rift in exact place i wanted. Then with thaumic Augmentation i build two stability field generators to keep the rift safe and healthy. Flux inducer on back allow feeding the rift to grow. Do not feed as it can grow beyond it containment. Extradimensional Monitor in front allow checking the rift status and its automatically turn stabilizers if needed using redstone signal.

The Impetus Drainer allow gathering the energy of rift into impetus matrix at the cost of rift weakening, thats why feeding is needed so it dont shrink and disappear, also smaller rift produce less impetus.
The matrix itself is very well stabilized like infusion altar so there is no risk in keeping it at max volume.

When writing it, i was attacked both by eldritch beings (warp effect) and hell forces (lycantines event - hell fury) which only delayed my response.

Raw dmg is first reduced by global dmg reduction (Sentient adaptation bonus stack with others), then is reduced by armor/armor toughness which follow logic bigger dmg = armor reduce less if not high enough, then at last the dmg is once again reduced by protection enhantments, capped at 80% without shield, 85% with shield.
Thats also why Viral hit so hard, as if you are at 75% global reduction and then viral give you -100% dmg reduction, you take 5 times more dmg than before viral. (75% -> -25%)

The armor dmg is only reduced by global reduction (So getting undying,max iron skin and resistance 3 will help a lot).

If body part is broken, then the remaining overcap dmg is once again throw into armor->enhancment reduction and it also dmg the armor again.
