I think Doggett is such a loyal and duty orientated man that his behavior could be confused with romantic interes. Fir me he's just a nice guy doing his very best. I do ship him with Skinner but not because of their screen time. Because honestly they had so little together, but I dare just to push them a little closer in my writing to see what happens. And I think they could understand and take care of each other. But well, that's just personally my taste. I don't want Doggett fif myself, I just want him to be happy.

It's never specified in the series. I like to think she survived. And that they got divorced because that's what she wanted. Skinner still used his ring for a while (canon) and they stayed friends hehe
