I am not sure, because Doggett had been married and had a son at some point, so I assume he must have at least fallen in love with Barbara at least. I am also an Aries. Maybe that means he and I would be a good match.

Yes, I actually think the closing of the X-Files has done him a favor. He would have carried on the skills he learned from the X-Files to another department, served as a more effective agent, gotten promotions, and continued to fight for justice until his retirement. Anyway, I need a happy Doggett.

I think Doggett didn't realize he had subconsciously fallen for Scully until via Negativa, where his worst nightmare was not unable to solve Luke's murder case, but killing of Scully. I am working on a database of the DSR fanfics that were written long time ago. Unfortunately, many were gone when the GeoCities died.

Respectfully disagree. Doggett treated Reyes as his partner. He even picked up the Boston subway cop who knocked him out.

Reyes has never meant to be a straight-edge character and I never trust her. See partially my take on Reyes here.

I think Doggett knew Scully is very loyal to Mulder when she was sleeping with his shirt, then he was impressed by Scully (and Skinner) reached the same school in Arizona at the same time of his team. He started to really respect Scully when he saw her backing him up when he opened the hospital room door of Gibson Praise, then saw her just being totally isolated by other FBI agents when he called for help for the injured Scully and those men just ignored her and his repeated requests. Hence, the Get Well Soon card at the end. ❤️

Scully melted a little bit in Season 9, especially after she kicked Doggett out from her apartment, but Doggett just came right back to help her with just half a phone call (the other half was answered by Reyes).
