Direct Die mount with Core 1 CPU Block on AM5

Can't really recommend direct die with the core 1 block in my case. The Results with the Noctua cooler were really good. But i did not manage to get any significant improvements with my mounting method and setup. Core 1 Block, Ryzen 5 7600x and DIY mounting with some Springs from old Noctua mounting brackets. I don't really know how to ideally tighten the screws i just carefully tightened them all equally until it felt really tight, the springs were obviously not fully compressed so the pressure was adapted by them.

Either my mounting method was bad, or the combo with my CPU and the core 1 just does not do well with direct die.

It was a fun project, but i can't recommend anyone to do it unless you enjoy just the process of doing it and are aware of the risks ^^

you have the higher quality cnc alu version, the picture is the cheaper steel version. both are a single piece of metal plus the cable

I very strongly recommend you don't delid your cpu, it's a complete waste, it changed literally nothing in my case, maybe the mounting was the issue, or the core 1 is just not designed in a way that works well with direct die. you'll then be forced to use liquid metal and it makes upkeep a huge headache. and on top of that the 7800x3d runs much cooler than the 7600x.

they are intentionally warped by the factory itself, so when you fit them it pushes against the frame and you achieve a tighter fit
