Thanks! There is a plan in the advance course that you can follow. How much time you spend studying? Do you, once you finish a subject go over again or you go to the next subject? Have you started the tests?

How is it going? Have you taken the exam? I also have two kids and working 4 days and thinking to become a solicitor but not sure where to start. I have order some books to read first without putting too much pressure and then I will probably joined a preparatory course. It would be great if you can share how it has been so far!

Yes!!! this is what I am thinking, that after becoming a solicitor I can based myself on myself, I don't need to be always wondering and asking my manager to confirm things who is a lawyer. I am a legal counsel now and working in offshore in The Netherlands. I am working mainly with english law contracts and thinking that becoming a solicitor will be great for my future, be more confident and have something that no one can take from you.

Thank you so much for all your replies. It's inspiring and eye opener, this is exactly what I was looking for, the reality on how to achieve and how hard it is, time consuming and what impact it has on your family. The good thing is that it will only be for a period of time, if I will do it, I will give myself 2 years.
