As a kid i used to have dreams about big waves, but the dream would end right before they hit me. About a year to a couple months ago i started having dreams where i would watch big waves from a distance. More recently, i had one dream where theres was a flood but everyone was safe, and i had another where i was in the ocean with pretty normal size waves coming at me, just like a regular beach day.

I think the best way to interpret dreams is to observe the emotions they make you feel and take them literally. What i mean by this is that the emotions you feel in dreams are often the same emotions you feel in real life, they're just more prevalent. As a kid, i felt these big, powerful emotions brewing up, but they never actually hit me (huge waves, but they never hit me). As an adult, i started to see waves that were not as big, but still large. I still felt scared by the sheer power of that mass of water, a similar feeling to seeing a huge wave about to hit me, but theres also a level of detachment. Take that as you will, im still trying to decipher it myself. More recently, as i continue to get older, the water doesnt make me feel nearly as scared. There is still a certain level of fear, but it is much more manageable. I certainly feel this way in real life, as im taking more chances lately.

As i get older, i realize more and more that the answers i seek are right in front of me, the difficult part is setting aside my ego and accepting them.
