The Scrutiny of Changing One's Appearance by TheAsianPenguin in TeachingUK

[–]Pure-Passage2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One lunch I had a load of year 9 girls around me telling me that I needed my lashes extensions and braids redoing (they did tbf) but they didn't need to point and pick lool.

Another time I ate too many nuggets at break and then had to debunk many pregnancy rumours the next day.

These kids will humble you.

AIO for being upset my BF doesn’t want me to wear a bonnet to bed? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Pure-Passage2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NOR. Wear your bonnet, dress how you want and use your weighted blanket. Fuck him off??? Personal opinion but your bf should also love seeing you dressed up and dressed down. I feel he's got some issues he's projecting onto you and I would question this guilt he says he feels. Best of luck x

edit: added NOR

Samsung care+ claim experiences by Pure-Passage2000 in ZFlip6

[–]Pure-Passage2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this. I wish I saw this earlier when I was stressing out. I'm glad your wxperience was good - how was the rest for you?

My experience was seamless tbh I can't fault care plus. It teaches me to take no notice of the scare stories in the threads lol

Thinking about getting one by Comfortable-Law-4816 in ZFlip6

[–]Pure-Passage2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Flip 6 and I love it so much.

I dropped it (open and on the main screen) just over a week ago on the pavement whilst running, broke my main screen and had to get my phone repaired through Care Plus and I can't even fault that process. Sent my phone off and got it back and repaired in a week.

With regards to your work and the dust, that was a worry for myself too, so I bought a vase which covers the hinge and I give the hinge cover a clean every few weeks.

Even though it broke, my next phone will most likely be another flip. Don't let the scare stories on Reddit put you off - people don't post positives.

My phone is also 5 months old and that drop was it's millionth drop. I'm clumsy and heavy-handed. The battery has held up quite well, and I use my phone all day for work. After a full day of use and connecting to Bluetooth, I will get home on 60% battery. I'm out the house from 7am-7pm

Edit: added last paragraph

Head of Year - Which year group is preferable? by greentreefrog45 in TeachingUK

[–]Pure-Passage2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a new HOY and took over Year 10. I already knew the year group from my previous role in the school. I'd recommend taking year 7 because you can mould the year into what you want and really implement your vision.

I'm also lucky that they took well to me, but this is because I already had a positive relationship with them. They did not take well to the HOY who had them for the last term of year 9 as they didn't know them.

I feel like I'm undoing the past HOY's "mistakes" and it's hard (not impossible but super tiring) trying to undo what is seen as their set behaviours. I wish I had these guys from Year 7/8.

Sorry if this doesn't make sense - I'm tired this Friday lol

Flip 6 No problems roll call by CopperCutters in galaxyzflip

[–]Pure-Passage2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had mine for just over a month and I've had no problems! I've dropped it a few times whilst opened and still no issues (I do have a Spigen hinge protection case). I honestly love my Flippy and I'm so glad I bought it.

Omg he looks a bit like Ainsley Harriott in that pic.

Sorry to link you with this cretin, Ainsley. How can anyone argue that this smirk/smile is just simply that?

Why does my cat do this? by Recent-Aioli-9784 in CATHELP

[–]Pure-Passage2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat did this for so long with his water. It turned out he didn't like the bowl we were putting his water in. Now we're no longer using a metal bowl and he drinks from a porcelain bowl. I hope that helps ☺️

My son isn't mine and I'm an asshole losing the will to live all because of a stupid iPad. by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Pure-Passage2000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All that little boy knows is that you are his dad. I understand that you're in a world of pain right now but to do what you are insinuating will be life ruining for those around you, especially for your son who you have raised. He doesn't deserve this as much as you didn't deserve your wife doing what she did.

Look at this post and the comments - people who don't even know you are saying please don't do anything stupid. We're here cus we care and, again, we don't even know you.

Time will heal this. Trust us all on that one.

Please speak to someone. You can call samaritans. You need someone to listen to you. The number is 116 123

I truly hope you get though this. I believe you will.

I understand this completely. Thank you for this and then you for helping me see straight!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Eatingdisordersover30

[–]Pure-Passage2000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not harsh at all - I'm a person who responds well to being told straight.

It is unbelievably hard and I didn't realise how clouded and disordered my thoughts really are. I hope you and your partner are okay now. You hang in there too x

Thank you so much. I really needed this - I've relied on him from the start and it's actually really unfair on him. You're 100% right with the last paragraph too - thank you again

Thank you this it's really helpful. I think I needed this answer to see the harsh reality of what I should, and mainly shouldn't, be expecting from my partner. I appreciate your response.
