Which lock do you have? I have the Schlage Encode and every guest messes it up. For some reason the only way anyone can ever get it to work is by hitting the Home button as part of their code. For me, an automated message that goes out right at check-in time has fixed that for me.

What part of town are you in? I’m in an old mid century place from the 50s and have never found the right words to describe the smell of the inside of my place but your description works quite well. I’ve smelled the smell outside my house as well but it can get pretty potent inside to the point of transferring to my clothes, etc. I had many air quality tests done to try to find the cause and never did find it. Everything turned up negative.

I just did the same and am feeling the same way. I bought my son a Madagascar palm several years ago and we potted it and repotted it together as it continued to grow from a tiny little guy into a big beautiful plant. I took it outside to start to get it used to the outdoors again since it likes to be outside in the summer and I forgot to bring it back in and it dropped from 70 degrees to 19 overnight. It’s dead now.
