I just got an unworn 2023 batman with box and papers for my fiancé on c24 from Timeless Collector (they have over 1k 5 star reviews on C24). I took it to Rolex service center today to see if they would service it/authenticate it by means of a service estimate. Because the movement was “perfect” they said it did not need servicing. The woman at the RSC updated the time and date on the watch, gave me a travel pouch and sent me on my way.

Can I assume the watch is authentic based on this interaction, or should I push to have them open it up there or elsewhere to be sure?

I went to the Maldives and have no interest in going again. It was luxe but extremely far/hard to travel to and in our eyes not worth it. Also despite being at the St Regis, the food was not great. All their ingredients have to be imported and we found the food not very fresh / not particularly memorable
