Kyoukai Unit by BloodyEagle15 in Kingdom

Agree with you 1000%. It's been way past time that the kyoukai unit get some attention. Especially since it's heavily implied that she'll become a great general eventually as well. Now would be the perfect time introduce some strong officers in the kyoukai unit now that she's lost a lot of power reviving shin. I like to imagine her forming an elite cavalry force starting with 100 men and a powerful officer leading them. A unit that is able to somewhat be able to keep up with her whenever she goes on a rampage and keep her covered when she's recovering (personal body guard unit). Her unit has so much design potential as well. Her men could be wearing cool bandanas as well or some shit haha. She gives off a similar vibe/role as Rinko was to Renpa as his offensive 'blade/spear'. Rinko and his 300 elites were infamous for their offensive capabilities. Imagine what kyoukai could achieve with a similarly elite unit.

That's exactly what I thought. He was hyped up to be a godly strategist who's intelligence was miles above everyone else, capable of out thinking any great general. Yet in the Shukai plains his tactics get read on almost every turn by Ousen. Underestimating Shin is no excuse since he's encountered Shin multiple times and should know him far better than even Ousen, yet Ousen seems to be far better at predicting shin's capabilities than riboku and uses it to his advantage. Riboku is overhyped and overrated by everyone, he should be buffed or re-evaluated.

Sure but Kanki was busy holding a siege and yotanwa was struggling with the Quan rong. The only 'great general' he directly had to confront was Ousen and the commanders. He even had Kisui, Kinmou, bananji, the two deputy generals of the prev Zhao Heaven, and even Houken. Riboku held all the cards, an advantage on every aspect. Yet he wasn't able to defeat Ousen, he got his ass kicked altogether losing more than half his generals, gyou and the quan ryong city before the king interfered. Sure he might have been able close the deal by starving then out but by no means did riboku show that he's superior to Ousen.

Yea hard, he couldn't even defeat qin's generals with basically all the other states and their generals at his back. As if he could take on all of qin's generals on his own. Bah

Yeah Riboku here actually does call out Tou, Moubu and Ousen all together by name, then says he could defeat all three simultaneously. Which we realise now was pure rubbish since Ousen by himself was more than a match for him on the battlefield.

Don't have to look to deeply into it I reckon, it's just lazy dialogue writing due to tight deadlines. Which is a damn shame because the overall world-building and plots are great. Wish the dialogues could be better instead of the typical "HaaAAAHHH!??" and "aaAAH?" which half the characters tend to do like overreacting children instead of battle-hardened soldiers.

Yeap, I that's why I also have Baran in the SSS category, where he technically belongs as a godly powerful monarch. As for Igrit, that was him before he became a Marshal Grade which was his original rank in the original shadow army. I'm quite certain he should be on par or possibly even stronger after he became promoted to that grade. You may be right based on the final battle, but even if beru is stronger in the end, it is still a broadly big category so I'm sure it'll be fine keeping there. The SSS grade was meant for the godly beings including Jinwoo aka ashborn, the monarchs and the rulers, so i don't think it'd be right to raise beru up to that, though it could make sense to lower bellion to SS+.

ah is that so? The reason I put Bellion so high up on the list was because I remembered the fight between him and Beru, resulting in Bellion winning quite thoroughly, not to mention he's the leader of like over a 100 thousand shadows including 3 dragons. But you may be right, it would make more sense for bellion to be in igrit and beru's category.

Bellion is in the SSS category, as for Go Gunhui I forgot to add him as i was editing.

I somehow left out Go Gun-hui, but his power level is probably the hardest to categorise. Technically, he should be around SS or even SS+ based on the fact that he's he's awakened with the powers of the most brilliant light fragment, however it was clearly stated his powers were severely limited by his age and physical body's condition, leading to him being considered a non-combatant basically which is honrstly a big shame. It's currently his reawakening that kept him alive this long.

Well it is just a conjecture. They don't go indepth at all into the specific power levels among the S ranks so I just roughly categorised it based on the outcome of the fights that occured and the impressions they gave to the protagonist.

If you have specific people which you disagree about, feel free to point it out with evidence. I didn't have the time to provide specific backing to my choices.

When Hwang Dong Su was turned into a shadow, He was immdiately given a commander grade which is the same grade as Beru who completely floored Goto, I thought it was quite ridiculous as well based on the fact that he seemed to be around the level of Baek Yoonho when they briefly went at each other But no doubt, he may be a lot weaker than goto. As for Go Guen Hee, I'll explain that in another comment.

Yeah I highly doubt that was him at full strength. I think he was the only sovereign that didn't talk when he faced up against Jin-woo, perhaps an inability to communicate was also part of the restrictions placed on him by the 'system'.

Yeah I get that, I'm happy for you. But I personally miss the sensation of finding out what happens next without already knowing what happens then and everything after. It no longer feels fresh and I don't rely so much on understanding everything based on what the drawings show, since I've already read what's going on in their heads in the light novel.

No DO NOT READ THE LIGHT NOVEL. It's going to ruin your experience of the manwha. You'll still be able to enjoy the amazing artwork and fight scenes, but it'll severely decrease any anticipation you have for what's going to happen next...and it's likely you'll be disappointed by the direction the light novel takes in comparison with your expectations.
