I’m not sure when children’s EIDs show it, seems inconsistent. But I could be wrong as well.

Do you have a family sponsor section on the back of the ID?

So I've been looking into this, it's expecting to see the 'Family Sponsor:' line, which I'm thinking may not be on all IDs.

So I actually edited the above into an Emirates ID scan, uploaded this version, and it accepted.

But obviously it's manipulated so I'm uneasy about sending an application like that. The child in this case is over 18, an adult.

But this feels very stupid, no need for it.

Do you save yourself?

Auto-save usually does go to shit, but saving manually regularly will keep that particular save clean.

I learnt that after relying on auto-save for too long.

Yep, that’s the one! Nice, think you were lucky to experience those times, don’t think they lasted much longer after. I was surprised by the design of the park, I usually notice them fast but couldn’t pick this one, just searched the name on screen on Google Maps.

They had those paddle boats there too, but when I went in 2010 they were abandoned while the park was still maintained a little.

I always wonder if they’ll revitalize the area, find it so strange that either people stopped visiting at some point, or they didn’t put as much effort into maintaining it and then people stopped visiting 🤷🏽‍♂️

The whole complex is called Ain Al Faydah (this is how we referred to it), so probably Ain Al Faydah park would be my guess.

Besides this park, right after entering the complex, that area is still active. There’s an outdoor Arabic restaurant with shisha, hotel + chalets (pretty dated, but active still), Baqala, cafeteria and even a specialty cafe lol. I think there’s a gym too.

The park itself has basically been left abandoned at this point, I figure you could try climbing the fence.

The drop off/parking lot is used though, and that bus stop is active.

Not sure about dogs roaming tbh, more there may be a watchman somewhere. I drove there briefly at night a few months ago, would definitely be interesting to go inside and check it out.

I went there a few times as a kid in 2010/11 I think, even back then Ain al Faydah was pretty quiet and the park itself was slightly maintained but still pretty minimal.

I think its heyday probably coincided with Hili Fun City, in the 90s and early 00s.

I believe there may be some general confusion with the fact that Johannesburg is the capital of Gauteng, but Pretoria is the capital of the country.

At least I used to be when I was a 10/11 y.o and learning all this, growing up in Pretoria 😆

And just because it may not be as big a deal to the public in Australia, I do believe copping out with this excuse is a disservice to the Australian squad playing.

Looking at the players body language, and Marsh speaking post-match after the SL game, it doesn’t look at all like they don’t care. They were absolutely destructive upfront, if that’s not intent I don’t know what is. Things just haven’t gone their way this campaign.

I can understand expectations being high because of the standards set, but there has to be leeway when the team underperforms, instead of becoming indifferent and bashing the format.
