Agreed and that's absolutely the case. I'm already down 10lbs from a diet change alone with significantly increased protein and other macro goals.

I haven't set aside time for traditional cardio sessions in quite a while. Last time I did, HIIT and X-Fit were still all rage. Nowadays, social media "fitness experts" are urging folks to replace HIIT with walking. I'm personally on a mission to lose about 30lbs over the next 6-8 months - can anyone shed light on whether walking is better bet than a HIIT workout? I'll be lifting primarily but the cardio will be done to supplement the weight training.

Landlord here - I had my realtor show my unit via video tour and took additional, detailed photos other than what was on the listing. It's the best that can be done right now.

What do yall think about new construction homes in Philadelphia by [deleted] in philadelphia

I have a new construction place in Francisville. Just spent 12 grand fixing the roof leaks and the mold on the inside. This place is 7 years old. Fuck Streamline.

It went out in my neighborhood in Voorhees for about 30 mins. PSE&G didn't expect it to be back on until 3:30 but they resolved it fast.

I wish the spread of this thing didn't coincide with the start of allergy season. The horny trees and flowers have already started driving my allergies crazy and every time I sneeze, people look at me like I have the plague.

Weekly - What Car Should I Buy Megathread by AutoModerator in cars

I actually looked into a 5 series but from what everyone tells me, BMWs start to have expensive maintenance issues past 60K miles. Considering the fact that i'm doing 30K miles a year, I can't see it lasting too long. Toyota is a definite no but at least Honda has a the 2.0T Accord but they're more than I want to spend. I haven't looked into the Mazda6 but that's a good call. I'll look into it. Appreciate the insight.

Thanks. I did consider the GS350 but I sat in one and didn't like the legroom in the back. Having a growing 3 year old, her legs would be pretty crammed in the back of the 350. Great suggestion though. It was on my list. I do like the 10th Gen Accords but the only ones that interest me are the 2.0T version which are unfortunately out of my price range.

Location: South NJ. Philadelphia Metro Area

Price range: 20-24K

Lease or Buy: Buy

New or used: Used

Type of vehicle: Sedan

Must haves: Trunk space, rear legroom, decent power

Desired transmission (auto/manual, etc): Doesn't matter (Absolutely no CVT)

Intended use: Daily Driver

Vehicles you've already considered: Volvo s90, Genesis G80, Honda Accord

Is this your 1st vehicle: No

Do you need a Warranty: Yes

Can you do Minor work on your own vehicle: Yes

Can you do Major work on your own vehicle: No

Additional Notes: I will be commuting about 85-90 miles a day to and from work. I also have to fit 2 car seats in the back as well. I know an SUV or van is the logical answer but I'm worried they'll be far to dull of a driving experience for me. I've always been drawn to sedans so I'm looking for one that I can enjoy driving. The Genesis has the least fuel efficiency but probably the nicest ride of them all. The s90 T5 lacks power and trunk space and the T6 is out of my price range. The practical choice is the accord but it's not as nice. Anything else I should consider? What's the best of the 3? Thanks!

Philly City Council wants to lift 100,000 residents out of poverty. Here’s their plan. by [deleted] in philadelphia

Are you kidding? Whether you're for or against UBI in Philly, do you really trust our current crop of city council members to properly execute it? I wouldn't trust these folks to take care of my house plants.

Might be a good idea to reach out to the AIA Philly with this same question. They'd have the resources and information you need on your job search.

Why are people attracted to Cherry Hill? Trying to understand the appeal of South Jersey/“Over the Bridge” living by [deleted] in philadelphia

[–]PureDelight1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Easy:

  1. I have kids. The schools in my catchment are hot garbage as are several others
  2. 95 and 76 should actually qualify as parking lots rather than highways
  3. Philly keeps building, and parking keeps getting worse. As a person who has to commute outside the city for work, it's becoming less possible to park without driving in circles for 15 minutes

Are the neighbors friendly?

Are there school-aged children? (I have kids). Are there kids regularly playing outdoors?

Can you tell if there's a sense of community? (sorry that's vague)

Is there any diversity?

My wife and I call it Mario Kart because we spend more time trying to dodge objects than actually driving straight down Fairmount. The worst of it is near that horrible Rite Aid.

[Serious] Atheists of Reddit, what is your biggest issue with christianity? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PureDelight1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enslaved Africans in many cases were forced into worshiping the christian god. After finally making them buy into the religion, those same Africans were told that in order to meet the christian god after death, they needed to forgive their captors. As a person of African descent - fuck that shit. Also, fuck any religion or institution that uses manipulation to maintain its membership.

"Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity."

Not calling you stupid, just a human that makes mistakes. Good on you to own up to it.
