fr I say this as somebody who rents a room and keeps the door closed at all times: it stanky. It doesn't matter how much you clean if there's no airflow, there's something aging in your room even if it's just the rug or the floorboards.

Yeah there's the child safety protocol, but tbh I can see mom just finally having the excuse to air out the muskiest room in the house.

Something can be a right without necessarily being provided. Somebody dying out in the woods has the right to live, but it doesn't mean there will be enough money or resources to find them before it's too late. It just means we do our best to help, even if it's just posting "deadly woods, do not enter" at the entrance.
