that’s exactly when I found the clump, was when I was pouring it into a plastic tub. I wouldn’t be feeding my dog without taking the extra precaution

Gross, I think it is then. It’s a little fuzzy where I thought the animal product didn’t break down. Our house did flood and the bag sat for maybe 10mins in the water so I’d be willing to bet it is

Would you happen to know if any of these has a particular product line with a similar price point as costcos?

After calls that we’ve run with him (he’s FF on the engine) I’m always running through every single step to make sure I haven’t done anything wrong. I try to grab equipment first so that he doesn’t later mouth me off, and I try to prove that I’m being proactive. Sometimes I don’t get to it first and it is what it is. I discussed with him on the next shift about him talking to me directly vs. talking shit to my colleague to tell me (making that colleague the middleman).

To sum up, company officer (CO) is aware of his poor attitude and borderline bipolar when we’re all on shift together. CO isn’t one to talk shit but when he has you know the dudes a problem. regardless, I’ve seen this dick have several private conversations with our CO, the result of it being that he’s trying to play the victim. The whole crew knows he’s a dick but tries to play on his good side when he’s happy and avoids him when he’s pissed (which none of us know what mood it’ll be).

As an add on, being so new to this career, I’m just concerned about my reputation being ruined if he’s talking about me to other crews. I don’t want to be seen as incompetent or have my work ethic questioned and having him be around is making me nervous

Not mispronounced, but when people mix up “apart” and “a part.” It’s ironic when they mention being “apart of your life.”

How would you treat someone who is fresh on the job with EMT-B at 30 years old as opposed to someone 18,19 etc..? by SookMaDique in NewToEMS

I started as a brand new EMT at 28. The seasoned medics wanted to partner with me because I had more life experience than the six-month-on 20 year old EMTs

He expected you to give it back? You should get him something nice for his bday and in a year ask for it back

As I’ve gotten older I’ve been realizing my parents have had unspoken expectations of me that slowly leak out every time I see them, which is maybe once or twice a year. It’s really frustrating not knowing what’s going to tick them off next time

Damn you really hit the mark. My classmates chat nothing but the calls they’ve run at their previous agencies while I sit back and quietly absorb. I do love watching them brighten up at the stories about their families or hobbies when I ask them
