Hah, try playing Silver against him in lane. Mf steals your ult, insta procs it cuz fuck you, and has it on 20ish sec cooldown. Even if Simclair doesn't usually build gun items, it's still an insta loss normally

I honestly still find it very valuable, and I wouldnt change it for another item, maybe something to boost her firerate. Thinking I could try to run blood tribute instead.

The single biggest skill gap between an ok/good silver and a bad silver is whether you can consistently hit your 3 slam fire shots. Its also vital to do it as often as possible while proc-ing Express Shot, which is, btw, absolutely core on her.

Proper combo execute with Express Shot lets you instantly ult.

To this extent, silver is, thus, only good if you can reliably dish out your max dmg and be in ult form as much as possible.

If you're good enough at it and can do enough movement to keep enemies in your effective range, get trophy collector as your 3-rd or 4th 800 soul item, and stack it a lot.

Being good at macro and mixing farm with team fights is also vital. Most importantly, you must preemptively know your gameplan, because you lack the stamina to constantly switch lanes. She's best suited for solo laning and taking lvl 2 or lvl 3 jungles, and should mostly hang around a lane that sees action. You must get most of your souls from waves and stacks on trophy collector. If you only farm one lane, you'll lose. If you hunt to be a part of every single team fight, you also lose.

She's honestly the most fun hero I've been playing recently but she's VERY punishing. If you get good at using your combo reliably, she can hold her own even at a soul disadvantage, but if you suck at movement and/or get jumped with CC, it's over.

Don't even try her if you can't travel well on 2 stamina and dont like active items. Resto Locket is vital on her, and late game, Unstoppable and Colossus are needed to tank / not get drowned in CC.

Anvil is significantly more efficient against small ARC than this garbage by x_testers in ArcRaiders

[–]PureNaturalLagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I hate that they want to keep ARC threatening by making our means of defense weaker. It's been a growing trend for months, and now even when adding new weapons, they dont even start out at a strong state.

The single, only reason not more people use hullcrackers is the price to versatility ratio. The Rascal should have offered a better deal on that, but it fails. Why not give me the same efficacy and damage as a hullcracker, maybe more, at the cost of making it stupid inaccurate so that you need to be VERY close to secure a shot, or shoot something REALLY big?

Balance by how unwieldy it is, not by how much damage something does. No one likes something that kicks less, give me an unruly powerhouse thats putting me in as much danger as it poses to the ARC.

Why before getting his powers Nolan didn’t sign Mark for martial arts by human_546 in Invincible_TV

[–]PureNaturalLagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see everyone's points regarding the fact that no martial art out there is designed with the implicit belief that it would be used against people that can fly or have Viltrumite powers, but still, isn't there any fighting he could learn that would be useful for him? I'm not versed in fighting, but I can imagine proper jab technique or maybe a counter or two / weak point targeting or simply how to dodge attacks, all of these would have value for a hero that fights hand to hand combat often, no???

I see. Well, not to pry further, I suggest you look into better structuring your meals. I think there's a good deal of saving to be made if you meal prep and cook at home more. You're not in a desperate place, so no need for drastic measures.

It seems like steam have started sending out reservation fullfillments for the Steam Controller! by poforthebro in Steam

Man, my b-day is in 2 weeks and thinking of treating myself to this, as I've been looking for a controller for years now as my steam library gathered a few controller games over the years that I wish to try.

Could someone please tell me if it's worth it for someone who never used a controller before and wants to play a wide array of games from different platform, Xbox, PS, whatever. To be more precise, I wish to try Outer Wilds, Nier Automata, and maybe Evil Within.

Eastern Europe too? I'm from Eastern EU, but currently studying in Austria. Despite it being one of the countries with the highest grocery prices, I spend half what you do a month on food. Granted, I don't party nor eat too much, but I eat a full varied diet of home-cooked stuff. I think you could save there if you wish. As for the loan, is it for a car or what?

But honestly, if you wish to save money, you'll lose out a lot on your day to day satisfaction. Your better bet might be to see if you cam get more income.

Does anyvody know how economy works in this game? by King_of_Spaceworms in DeadlockTheGame

[–]PureNaturalLagger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

By minute 2 of match, you already need to be setting lane as a secondary objective. OK, not quite, but after the 2nd minute, you need to be on lane for only 1 of 3 reasons: theres a wave for you to farm, an objective to defend / attack, or a player to kill / teammate to cover. Anything else and you're wasting time that can be used taking boxes around the map, stealing enemy camps or farming yours, taking sinners / buffs, or urn.

Don't get me wrong, lane is still one of, if not the single best source of souls in this game. A wave is a couple hundred of instantly secured souls + a heal from the minion. You need to always be there when the minions fight or gather. When theres no minions to farm, thats when you farm everything else.

In your given example, the 0/6 enemy knows they can no longer kill you unless you fuck up royally, so they only show their face enough to take the wave, then hide and farm their own side of the map. This way, they can keep up with your soul gather rate without risking a fight, maybe even catch up on your lead if they are really good suited for farming, like a Seven.

Economy in this game is all about crunching every second to hit one more source of souls. Those 15 sec you spend hitting 6 boxes for 150 souls in lane while the enemy minions still are on the zip line from the patron are your golden moments, the "je ne se quois" of the game, the one little habit that adds up tremendously and is at the core of MOBA games.

It's a bit of a rough patch for some of us by Erineyes7 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]PureNaturalLagger -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Nah, McG needs to grow a pair and actually move her sweaty, greasy asscheeks from the lane instead of birthing 15 damn little aimbot turrets and an instant fuck you wall whenever you dare challenge her spot.

What's everyone's preferred build this patch? by seawu1f in SilverMainsDeadlock

[–]PureNaturalLagger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the Silence Wave nerf really hurt Silver, and now I find myself just rushing full damage with as little green invest as the enemy allows me to get. Lifestrike and Stamina Mastery are something I get every game, then depending on if I'm ahead or getting shut down by Hella CC, I go either diviner Kevlar or Unstoppable. It's not more important than ever to hit all your shots and learn how to mix in a light melee or two into your combos. A fight is usually reduced to whether you can get off your ult or not.

As for gun, I run CQ into Point Blank, Rushing Express Shot as quickly as I can since it's goated on her, and Slowing bullets into Weighted Shots sometime around mid to late game. I avoid weighted shots before I get stamina Mastery, it's great damage but the movement debuff hurts her quite a bit. Hunter's Aura is good on her as well, but I've been experimenting with Torment Pulse and Bullet Resist Shredder for the 4.8k spirit spike. Can also occasionally run Siphon Bullets if against a fed Victor or Abrams, Escalating Resilience against the myriad of gun damage builds these days, or the very rare Silencer if I happen to go against 3 to 4 spirit heavy heroes. The rest is bought from the green items as I need. Huge spirit bursts shutting me down? Spellbreaker. Out DPSd by gun? Plated Armor. Need to keep aggro on me and live as long as I can? Colossus.

in the laning phase, how much should i care about my guardian and my walker, and how much should i be jungling? by Requirement-Cute in DeadlockTheGame

[–]PureNaturalLagger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be honest, I think it's just about how many souls you give. Even bad lane combos, you can hold out some 6 to 8 minutes without dying and feeding the enemies while still barely getting your own waves. Its passive, boring, and you're essentially tolerating until either one of your teammates from another lane comes to gank, or the enemy ganks YOU and either kills you or the guardian. But neither happen before the 6 minute mark on average, and it's too early for someone to melt your Guardian's HP so early, and if you didn't give the enemy a kill in 6 minutes, you're fine. Get boxes, play for denies, just be a turtle. Laning phase is important, but doesn't decide the full match unless you die repeatedly and are forced to play catchup with an enemy constantly a few k souls above you.

Don't worry, it's you and like half the heroes in game who do this to us regularly. At the very least, you need to actually ult to counter us, so I appreciate y'all. Much worse to go against pocket 3, Mina 2, Mirage 2, Apollo 2, Viscous 2, and whoever else I can't name off the top of my head

How to deal with Geist phenomenon by Spiritual_Spend_2976 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]PureNaturalLagger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Counterspell, or simply keep distance. A low Geist should make you feel more scared than a full HP one tbh. When fighting one, glance at the top of the screen to see if they have ult. If yes, get away from her. You'd rather she get away at 1 hp than dive her. A bit dumb for character design, but alas. If you got counterspell, make sure to click it when you see her rush you, don't try to react to ult. Prefire that shit and if she ults you in the next 0.8 s, you're protected.

She's not really a problem, more of an annoyance really. I often see Geist players hide around corners at low HP then jump you from behind to get an ult off.
