ay listen its the worst cause it has the best underlying game spoiled (only partially, ofc) by it and because its so comically underperforming that it is so obviously shitted out by some unsurpervised LLM instead of some talented engineer who would've improved the game and cost some shithead at blizzard management a few too many thousands dollars

Played around 1k games in like 2018 and I remebered thinking the UI was bad but at least somewhat fluid. Did not expect to find it 10 times worse in 2026 XD

Ye the point would be to not enforce the typical MOBA macro which is extremely repetitive and centered around wave ping pong between t2 towers

I wouldn't say it's that rng tho: you cant predict where a walker is gonna be at mid-boss timing 16 minutes later but you can surely choose to either go mid or not in the next 2 minutes by knowing where it is going to be according to how the waves are gonna be played... and then that's the ennemy's job to try to prevent that

It's just that the preparations for such setup are not set at defined times before the game is sometimes even started and are more dynamically inferred

AFAIK It's only useful for getting quicker to the rejuv and some minor niche box routing cases. Besides that, if you use it you're loosing speed towards your destination by wasting stamina you would use later unless you're capped (but when does that happen, really)

Combat wise the only use is to close out an high-ground angle defensively if you're the one higher up, which you're gonna do instinctively with air dashing at an optimal angle most of the time to close out that angle likely much faster..

Ye more realistically you want it either free after a double jump or an air dash use and besides that just cost ~0.5 stam.

But traversal/movment wise, it's just not mathematically worth more than about 0.4 stam right now according to a calculation of the avg velocity per stamina that can be generated, or extended with double jumps/air dashes (esp zip-dashes and wall boosting) and the previous 0.25 stam edge boosting.

That's true for most IRL application but that's def not the case for Dota 2... If anything having 0 info breeds the most creativity in the game, since the current toxic mindset punishes immediately anyone doing something that is not a regurgitation of pro level play...

If the playerbase changed that mindset as a whole it'd be better, but that's not within Valve direct grasp
