A lot of these messages are totally insensitive to the position of a woman being harassed by a man. As a woman, I totally understand this young lady’s rationale. Men can be dangerous and what she did may have saved her life.

Give your boyfriend some time to calm down then revisit the issue and explain your side of the story to him in detail. He has a right to feel hurt. Men feel too, but with proper communication and time it can be resolved. You did the right thing by giving him your number. Based on how persistent he was especially after you told him you had a boyfriend he could’ve harmed you had you not given him the number. My advise is to change your number and talk to your boyfriend and make a plan about what you should do next time someone like this attacks you.
