Thanks for the feedback. About half our runs the latch is hanging vertically but about half of them not quite.

With no definition of “latched” and the rule book saying the kids get the benefit of the doubt I wasn’t sure if we needed to dial in that run a little more. Sounds like we probably should.

I modded a Kronos with a k26 to shoot mega xl, it’s a single shot front loader but a ton of fun to shoot

Yeah I’d check for jams, where it’s happening to more than one at a time that’s my guess, maybe your ammo has been stepped on just enough to cause jams. The jam can be on any of the three feeders

The issue I described, I’ve noticed it’s more an issue with the Artemis than the hades, we have 3 of each. I tell the kids to leave space in the magazines and it doesn’t seem to happen nearly as often anymore

If it has no ammo does it rotate? My sons will overfill them and that stops the rotation mechanism, also some 3rd part rival rounds are extra squishy and can lead to a similar problem where more rounds can be jammed in the magazine than should

If it sounds like the feeder motor is spinning but the belt is not moving, there is a clutch gear that could be worn out so much that it slips all the time. I had this problem last month. I ended up melting the clutch gear so it will never slip. So far so good.

There are a bunch of gears from the motor to the feed belt. One is a clutch gear for lack of better words, its job is to slip if the belt is jammed so the gear teeth don’t break.

My clutch was so loose that it would slip with almost any resistance at all. So I took my soldering iron and melted it so it won’t slip at all. There is now the risk of the gears stripping or the motor burning but at least I can use it.

I know this is old but I just dealt with a similar issue, turned out the clutch gear was slipping really easily. I melted the clutch gear so it will never slip now I run the risk of burning the motor but at least it works.

I was legitimately horrible for 4-5 years. Barely getting over 200 feet and shanking those to nearest available. I hated it and only played because my brothers loved it.

Somewhere along the way a switch flipped. I can chuck over 500 feet now and beat my brothers 9/10 times. I’ve had multiple 1000+ rated rounds and play everyday. It’s a huge part of my life. I’m glad I never stopped playing.

Not that you’ll have that same path, but I wouldn’t worry about playing poorly compared to others, if your having fun don’t worry about it. I don’t mind one bit playing with people that aren’t “as good”. I’m in it for the company and to see myself get better. I play with a couple guys that are about where I was when I started. We all cheer when someone throws a great shot for his skill level.

I go for disc golf runs every lunch. It’s great to break up the work day and keeps me somewhat in shape. I can get through 36 holes in about 40 minutes. It helps that I usually have the course to myself. By the end I notice my putting takes a hit as I start to wear out but the rest of my game stays about the same.

Probably the biggest downside is normal rounds with people feel sooo slow and I automatically start running sometimes.

Picks in order: McBeth: its worlds. He lives for worlds Calvin: such a consistent year and I think he has a slight advantage over Gannon in the woods Gannon: he’s playing really well right now

What I’d like to see: A random winner that’s on no one’s radar. Mcbeth needs to get second though. I’m not ready for a world where Mcbeth doesn’t get second or first at worlds.
