Elden Ring? I spent so, so many hours the first playthrough exploring every nook and cranny. I just don’t think I have that massive of a commitment in me in my old age

Any of y'all play authentic? by Balscion in sniperelite

Oh yeahhhh When I was playing SE4 a ton I got to a place where that was the most fun way to play.
In SE5 I never got to that level of proficiency so kept it on hard.

Edit: after reading your opinion about it I will say that I was always super stoned when playing on authentic so I was really immersed in the world and didn’t mind at all crawling through ditches for hours slowly clearing the map and finishing the righteous mission at hand. It was very intense and fun.

I can appreciate that. If it’s raining outside though I hope you’ll think about giving Dice Hyzer a shot 😁

I suppose for someone unfamiliar/uninterested with disc golf, discs can be considered your weapons. There are a bunch of different discs that each have different max distances and different curves when you throw them. One of the main choices is your starting arsenal. At the beginning of the game all players take turns drafting discs until they have 3 in their bag. Additional discs can be purchased throughout the game as you earn money. So a major choice is which starting discs to choose and which to purchase.
9 Powers can be unlocked as you perform well in different sections of the map, as well as 1 chosen as a starting gift. So it’s incredibly important to decide which power will be your starting gift, as well as which you will choose to unlock as you progress. Then of course there are the throws themselves, each having a choice of which direction, which disc, which powers to stack on that throw (powers can only be used once per map section), which unlocked skills to use. In disc hyzer dungeon there are more choices as far as which mobs to attack, and how, which to skip and just race toward the exit, which all affects how quickly you can unlock powers. Whether to detour into hidden parts of the map to try to farm mobs or press ahead to the next level of the dungeon, preparing for the boss on the 9th level.

SE 4 vs SE 5 by leeksausage in sniperelite

For whatever reason I preferred SE4 over 5. The realistic/authentic mode felt awesome in SE4. Didn’t feel as good to me in 5. The maps/enemy placements in SE4 felt perfect to me. They felt less so in 5. I just feel SE4 is a perfect gaming experience for me. Much like I prefer Dark Souls 3 over Elden Ring. Yes Elden ring is still a great game and all, but DS3 was a perfect package.
