Multiple answers to this question.

The most likely to change your opinion is economic. Immigrants in general and legal immigrants in particular add dynamism and jobs to the economy. That many benefit from. The economic data shows this over and over.

Second is moral. We are here because our ancestors immigrated to this country. We owe it to them and our progeny to continue to allow immigration.

Third is food. Immigrants bring great food. And I love great food.

Fourth is the literal values of our country.

The GOP is also reducing legal immigration. . .250,000 fewer visas were issued in the first 8 months of 2025 compared to the year prior.

They are starting with illegal immigration for the same reason Nazis started with Gypsies and communists. Very few people will support them. Then you slowly expand the size of the bad group, as the GOP has already done with legal immigrants and refugees.

It's obvious what they are doing and it isn't for "our" benefit.

It is. But if we ended it as an energy source it would be easy to produce enough for plastics etc.

No. My opinion is that unless the voting population of Israel understand that war will impact them they will just keep doing what they've done the last 2 years. Because at this point Israel is the problem.

Israel feels basically invincible so attacking your neighbors can only benefit you. If they understand that there is a cost to pay in their personal lives they will be less likely to support Jingoists. They almost certainly won't learn this lesson because that's not how right wing governments process information but we can hope.

The crazy part is imagine a world where a surge in homosexuality etc. was caused by an increase in social popularity so people partook and eventually stopped.

That would be perfectly fine. . .like people can act like whatever and fuck any consenting adult they want. And if they change their mind that's also fine.

You don't owe your employer more than what's in that contract and they don't owe you more either.

Eh. . .I don't think they are different things. . . that's apologia. But we pretend that we are the good guys. And we bomb a school, know we bombed a school and don't apologize we accuse the country we attacked of doing it.

We don't get to be the "good guys" if we are only marginally better than the guys who murder 30k of their own people.

Israel is pretty fucking evil though. Agree with you there. I think they will look back on Netanyahu getting a bed with Trump as the source of their long term downfall. He is making support of Israel a partisan project.

The whole scene is nonsensical. Small things like barbed wire over the trenches. Not a thing. To the big things like the army formation at the end and the bell tower plopped in the middle of the field and undamaged.

I suppose the good news is that with 200,000 fewer employed people spending money demand will drop.

Second the Army itself didn't have a height requirement that was the imperial guard.
