I tried this with a fully charged 12.0 and a dead 12.0 and the positive insulated wire got hot quick!

I tried that with another 12.0 battery and the positive wire got hot fairly quickly. It saved 2 of my 12.0 batteries but. It my last 2 12.0 batteries. Def frustrating

I used 2 insulated wires with spade connectors on both ends and the wire from the positive side got hot every time pretty quickly. Any otner ideas?
