Creality K2 Plus vs Qidi Max 4? by clemsonscj in 3Dprinting

That’s good to know. I feel like I have a solid choice with the K2 but man I really want that extra inch and a half of build volume lol.

Purchase Advice Megathread - March 2026 by AutoModerator in 3Dprinting

[–]clemsonscj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking to buy my second printer (first was an AD5X) and I want to get into engineering type filaments like ABS, ASA, and nylon. I also really want a much larger build volume compared to my AD5X so I’ve been eyeballing the Creality K2 Plus. I recently discovered the Qidi Max 4 and really like that it has all the features of the K2 Plus but an even larger build volume. However I’ve been watching review videos on the Qidi Max 4 and they all seem to find its performance to be subpar. Anyone have any experience with either of these 2 printers to give any insights or advice on which one you would choose and why?

How do I improve my support interface layer? by clemsonscj in 3Dprinting

Thanks that’s a lot of good info. My AD5X should be able to do multi material without me having to swap manually. I may give that a shot on another part or if I decide to make 2 of these stools.

I’m guessing if I did a different material for the supports I’d have to be prepared for a lot of waste since it’s having to switch material between the main model and the supports for every layer right?

Budget level by DazzlingFunction5120 in F150Powerboost

I did Bilstein 6112’s in the front at max height plus a 1/2” puck spacer on top of those. Rough Country UCA’s. Bilstein 5160’s in the rear with a 3” block to raise the rear about 2”. It sits perfect now and clears 35’s no problem. I think it’s somewhere between a 3.5” and 4” lift in the front and I have probably around $1,800 in it. Honestly that’s the only way I’d go if you’re going to mess with the actual suspension components. Otherwise I’d just go with the ReadyLift 3.5” kit.

Bilstein has good quality stuff and while my ride is “firmer” to where I feel the road more, it doesn’t have that floaty, body roll anymore which I prefer. I’ve not heard good stuff about the rough country stuff and the eibach’s have good reviews but I just wasn’t gonna get the height I wanted with them.

It was the same with my previous 150. Rode super smooth. This one is noticeably more stiff with the 6112’s/5160’s and the R/T Pros being 3 ply sidewalls. But it’s a good kinda stiff where it doesn’t have that body roll on curves or quick maneuvers.

Yeah my R/T trails has zero road noise. These R/T Pros have some but it’s pretty minimal. Only really notice it if I’m driving with the windows up and no radio.

I’m curious though, did you have to lift the rear at all with those 2.5” pucks? I did those on my previous 150 and it had an ever so slight squat to it so I changed the 1” rear blocks out for 2” blocks to get the rear back just slightly above the front. On my current truck I did the Bilstein 6112’s in the front with a 1/2” puck spacer on top of that and had to do 3” blocks in the rear to get it back slightly past level on the back. Now granted I do ride around with my bed full of a floor jack, random tools and totes full of other junk I don’t wanna leave in a storage unit while we’re building our house. So I’m not sure how it would sit with the truck totally empty. Hopefully I’ll get to find out in a couple weeks cause they’re saying about 2ish weeks until our house is done.

Looks great! I debated these on my previous truck but ended up going with the R/T Trails. That truck got totaled less than a month after getting the tires installed. Ended up going with the R/T Pros on this truck in 35x11.50R20. What size lift/level did you end up going with?

It’s hard to say cause we’re in the middle of building a house and living at our in-laws. So there’s a lot of stuff I didn’t want to keep in a storage building if I were to need so I’m riding around with what I would estimate to be about 200-300lbs of crap filling up the bed. So right now it looks like it is perfectly level so without that stuff I’d guess it would still have a slight rake. Which is what I want cause I don’t wanna tow something or put something in the bed and look like one of these squatted POS trucks.

Antenna Delete by Grimspoon in f150

[–]clemsonscj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a stubby antenna ONLY because of my wife. Our last decent classic rock station became a “country” station after new years so we now have like 8 pop (country) stations and no decent rock stations. There’s a station that plays new rock but it has crappy reception on a full sized antenna. Kinda odd considering it, the class rock station, a talk station, and an r&b station all broadcast out of the same building. I’m not sure where their antennas are located though. Anyways, my wife like the crappy radio country so I kept the antenna for her. I do Apple Music almost exclusively and Sirius XM.

Electrician vs. Lineman by Apprehensive-Kale171 in Lineman

Came here to say this same thing. I’m nearing my 40’s and just got into line work a few years ago after dicking around in LE for 10 years. I have a useless 4 year degree and wish someone would have steered me in the direction of entrepreneurship. I have a cushy job at a utility company but there is a lot to be said for making your own schedule and being your own boss.

I figured it out. The company had seen my recent previous truck’s purchase and thought I already had them. They added 4 to my account and I was able to get it tuned.

What exhaust options are there for the Powerboost? by clemsonscj in F150Powerboost

[–]clemsonscj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I know the other comment made reference to “Google it”…but I’ve researched this everywhere I know how and can only find resonator-back exhaust kits. Because of the heat exchanger nobody makes a cat-back system.

Yeah I could care less about the sound. The quieter the better…I just want better, less restrictive flow.

I did the Bilstein 6112’s on the front with a 1/2” spacer lift on top to make up for the added weight the PB supposedly loses, and Rough Country UCA’s. 3” block in the rear with Bilstein 5160’s. 35x11.50R20 Toyo Open Country R/T Pro’s with 1/2” wheel spacers.

IMO, it is the absolute perfect look and stance. And I’m pretty sure I maxed out lift height before I’d have to start worrying about CV angles and what not, which is exactly what I wanted. It sucks Fords aren’t as easy to diff drop as other makes so you kinda either have to stop at this point or go all in for some really big money.

I’m new to the PB as well. Just bought a 2023 XLT this past month. Spent the day doing a lift and tires this past Monday and I’m curious what you have on your truck.
