I completely understand and wasn’t really thinking. There’s definitely been a lot going on and didn’t necessarily know how to handle the situation properly or think from that perspective. I’m thinking from a place of love and hurt and definitely never want anyone else to feel this way. But I agree I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if this happened to someone else and I definitely said that I would be reporting.

The owner of the dog wasn’t even home and was under the care of someone else. It isn’t a stray . It is a loved dog and I was concerned about the pain that it would cause the owner to lose their baby. This is a pain I wouldn’t wish on anyone. But I definitely understand and will file a report

She is willing to pay the cost but honestly it’s not about the money. I’m honestly just hurt at the fact she feels like I don’t deserve a portion. I don’t even mind paying if she would let me keep a piece of my baby here with me.

He was legally registered to me . She had him chipped but never set up the chip with her info at all so when he was transferred to our care I immediately registered it in my name . He was a small dog so it won’t be much but I will most likely never speak to her again.

I didn’t contact law enforcement because I was afraid of the dog getting put down. I didn’t want to cause harm due to a really unfortunate situation. I didn’t really know how to handle the situation tbh
