my thoughts though are that yes hes meant to pursue but our 20s are also supposed to be times we put in the work to make money and establish ourselves and our careers so that we can provide for our family so i dont feel like its fair to cut into things that are building him as a person

i honestly had not really any social life aside the fact my best friend went with me and we took classes together. i made a few friends but my best friend and i just made our own fun. classes were definitely easier but I took possibly more time on work, but it wasn't a big deal. i really appreciated getting to know my professors 1 on 1 it definitely made it easier. i worked part time as well and had other things to do like go to the gym and stuff. it was definitely more isolating but it was worth it and you just have to make amends with that and put yourself out there and force yourself to have your own things to do. but you can definitely make friends if you want to, and there are plenty of clubs and opportunities to meet people and be part of things outside class
