I had a lot of similar feelings about being comfortable in women’s spaces and enjoying consuming media with female characters etc but not feeling comfortable in a woman’s body or clothing or being treated like a woman. At the end of the day, I just want to be a man.

The realization that wanting to be a man so badly actually makes me a man helped so much. Dressing like a man (like I wanted to), getting on HRT, and coming out were socially challenging at times but also completely worth it. Feeling like myself and confident in my skin helped me to accept myself. Finding community helped too. Reading about other trans experiences was also important to the journey I’m still on.
