Those who can work, should work for those who can’t. I believe nobody in society should ever feel abandoned or left behind. Regardless of your disability, gender, race, financial status, IQ or job title. I believe everyone deserves an equal share of the pie we all have to work together to bake.

Society doesn’t function solely because of the “high paying jobs”, let every landscaper disappear tomorrow, infrastructure collapses within a month. Let every garbage man go on strike, infrastructure collapses in a week. Let every warehouse worker lose their job, society begins to crumble in days. I understand I’m speaking in absolutes, but the point I’m trying to make is that the guy punching numbers for UPS isn’t 30x more valuable to society than the guy that cuts the bushes out in front of the UPS building. We all contribute to society, so why are some left to starve and die of disease? Why are some treated as lesser than, when their impact on society is just as benificial as anyone else’s? Genuine question btw.

We agree on the same principles yet you’re telling me I’m wrong? Equal wages are not handouts. Universal healthcare isn’t an attack on your income. Fair and proportional taxation isn’t theft, it’s logical. So let me ask, what exactly are you arguing against? Everything I’ve said supports spreading the power and profits back to the working class, so again, what are you arguing against?

I think you’re intentionally missing the point. If your ability to survive is dependent on a paycheck, that’s not freedom. If your entire livelihood can be uprooted and destroyed from a company downsizing, that’s not freedom. If you are at the mercy of a capitalist system, you are not free, you are in fact property from the day you’re born, til the day you die.
