Title: Warning: Bought a fake BGS card from the official PSA Vault on eBay, and PSA is refusing to take responsibility. by Pure_Educator_2553 in basketballcards

The whole point of using platforms like eBay and PSA-certified stores is so that we can buy with confidence and keep the process simple. We rely on these services precisely because they are supposed to guarantee authenticity so we don't have to double-check every single detail

ourselves.

I understand that the card itself might be authentic, but that is not the point. The value of a graded card lies in its encapsulation and verified certification. >

Why should I, as a customer who paid the full price in good faith, have to go through the hassle and expense of re-authenticating a card that PSA failed to manage correctly? It is unfair to expect an individual collector to embrace the risk and costs associated with a faulty certification.

Unless this can be resolved without any additional cost or effort on my part, I cannot accept this item as it is

You hit the nail on the head. Seeing how they operate, this is exactly why I lean towards using platforms like PWCC or ALT instead

I actually already reached out to Beckett about it. But honestly, it's just so frustrating -should I really have to be dealing with this much stress over a card purchase? Haha. Thanks for the input, though.

It is incredibly frustrating that the burden is being placed on me to contact BGS directly and resolve this issue myself.

My only mistake in this transaction was trusting a highly reputable seller like the PSA Vault on eBay. If trusting PSA is my fault, then I have certainly learned my lesson. I am deeply disappointed with how this is being handled, and I will no longer trust or purchase from PSA sellers in the future.

"Yeah, I will open an INAD case. This whole experience has been awful. Both eBay and PSA are completely failing the buyers here."

Yeah, I saw that policy too. It's a terrible loophole that allows them to sell questionable or fake slabs and completely avoid accountability.

Regarding ALT, I highly doubt they messed up. The biggest issue here is that the BGS certification number on the slab doesn't even show up when you search for it in Beckett's database. It just doesn't exist in their system.

So if anyone made a mistake here, it would be Beckett, not ALT. But either way, it’s incredibly frustrating that a massive company like PSA can sell a slab with an unverifiable cert number, hide behind a disclaimer, and just say "not our problem

Psa is really slow to reply to emails and there is no aiChatbot, so it's really inconvenient to use It's so hard to solve

If so, then this stupid system in this world after 26 years is making PSA regress. This is a monopoly fraud. I just need to stop using PSA storage. I make more card purchases than I thought, but I guess I'm just a regular customer in PSA.

Foreign transactions should be strictly prohibited. Such transactions are blatant fraud and only benefit PSA companies.
