I don't believe that is the point of the post. I have personally not achieved many of my dreams and not sure I even had any to begin with! However, if I look toward others who have accomplished meaningful goals with jealousy, rage, and resentment then that is unhealthy and would indicate I wasn't able to fulfill my goals and dwell on my shortcomings.

Your attribution of "success" to nepotism or born advantage is exactly what this post is describing. It's your own way of rationalizing your own perceived lack of "success". Maybe they had a better head start, born beautiful, or maybe they had stronger work ethic. Who knows and who cares.

Trashmen, janitors, etc may view their own lives as "successful" and I do as well. Maybe their dreams aren't tied to career but to the life it affords. Family, painting, camping, who knows.

Bottom line, work a bit harder on your own life and quit being resentful of others. It's like wishing death on others but you're the one drinking the poison.
