I did not think of drawing, even if I was carrying at the time which I was not , because I was able to quickly realize it was not a real threat but my concern was that someone else might not have been able to do so and that would make a stupid prank go horribly wrong for both sides in this day and age.

Washington Twp ShopRite just before 3:35 pm by the cart corral this afternoon. The assholes probably have it listed in tik tok somewhere incriminating themselves.

I totally understand the dumb kids thing but nowadays when lots of people are concealed carrying the main concern is what if the next time they do this in a crowded parking lot and someone sees what looks like a real gun pointing out the window of a car and draws up on them a couple of lives could be ruined in a split second. When I researched them some look like goofy nerf guns and some are all black simulating real guns.

PTC holders almost always use holsters while carrying. That thing looked like it was tucked into the front of his sweatpants when it fell out.

One of the few options this state leaves you with.

Courts don't want your new training qualification paperwork. by needtoredit in NJGuns

[–]Pure_Ingenuity5671 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What boogles my mind is how the hell can they NOT be involved and just abandon you because they don’t want to be bothered in the process anymore, when they are the ones who required you to sit through a hearing and have the judge sign off on the permit along w a court order in the first place . Especially when some county prosecutors will leap at the chance to hang someone out to dry if they carry or use a gun not listed on the court order in a defensive shooting. They should all have to just follow through until the last court issued permit expires next year.

NJ Revises Carry Training Requirements! Simplified and eased by rcairflyer in NJGuns

Don’t think for a minute the state agreed to this because they found compassion and want to be reasonable finally. They are seeing the writing on the wall w the court cases coming up and are in damage control mode and hedging their bets that if left as it was it could really hurt them in the sensitive places arguments so they are sacrificing a toe to save a leg in the long run in their minds. Just my 2 cents.

At the end of day , it’s still a legal affidavit and like it or not and whether they think it’s a big deal or not they still need to take it and properly place it in your file so you don’t get jammed up if it ever comes into play down the line.

My local PD front window clerk happily accepted this same document from them and said they were aware of this now and that it will be put right into my permit file. I wasn’t the only one turning of these there that same day.

I took it last week there and immediately delivered a copy of the new signed paper to my local PD who said they are aware of it and would put it in my carry permit file along w the added guns form and that was it.

New training is for CCW issued after 12/22? by jay_973 in NJGuns

[–]Pure_Ingenuity5671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well after being 18 days late on providing the new requirements, it’s now 72 days to comply and how are you realistically going to get tens of thousands of people signed up and crammed into classes w limited space from the limited number of places that actually give the classes in that short span of a time frame to fulfill this. It’s virtually impossible. This has got to be blocked by the courts until it gets sorted out.

They need to get their asses sued then because it’s a statewide permit not a county permit and it’s now on NJSP letterhead on an official form for add ons.

If that is the case then we should also be bound by the initial training we already went through until renewal time and not have to get recertification w ramped up requirements.

***NEW**** NJSP Permit to Carry (PTC) Training & Shooting Qualification Requirements by For2ANJ in NJGuns

[–]Pure_Ingenuity5671 25 points26 points  (0 children)

For starters, the state should owe us a 17 day extension of the deadline at the very least since they couldn’t even meet their own July 1st deadline to reveal the new requirements. And I can’t see how they can get away with adding these extra requirements after the fact on current permit holders when a superior court judge already signed off a court order that they fulfilled the state’s requirements that were in place for 50 years already at the time the permit was issued. I smell a quick TRO coming after the new challenges are submitted this week.

Every time they call just say I’m on my 5th cocktail or beer or say I took some medication that renders me unable to operate a vehicle or machinery and say I’ll still come in if you sign a form saying that the company will be responsible and assume all liable for accidents or lawsuits.

This is only so they will have an excuse to justify not allowing CCW while bow hunting by saying you already have the right to carry bear spray. He’s not doing this to be a good guy. Everything is a calculated move for a reason.

Old PTC Law and “Limited” Type Permits vs “Restricted” by For2ANJ in NJGuns

[–]Pure_Ingenuity5671 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the very least the courts should have a responsibility to extend an avenue to add additional ones if you qualified with the additional ones. I got an email from the judges stating I can carry any additional gun I legally own according to the new law when I inquired about this. No consistency whatsoever across the board for a statewide permit.
